Set Goals

Know your capabilities and do not go overboard with the subjects you can cover in a day. Make sure you do not overdo things and set realistic targets for each day.

Self-studying

You may feel coaching classes are enough to help you prepare for exams. While your coaching class may be conducting sufficient revision sessions it is highly recommended that you dedicate sufficient time for self-studies as well. Include enough time to look through the exam topics and study it by yourself at your own pace.

Exercise

Exercise increases the blood circulation in your body which in turn makes you alert and active. So, don’t quit exercising or going out to play when exams draw near. Light activity and exercises help you grasp new concepts easily and you remember them for a longer duration too. So always set some time aside for exercise and activity.

Take Short Breaks Frequently

Avoid studying for long durations. Take a short break every 50-60 minutes to relax and rejuvenate your mind. You can even meditate during these short breaks to improve your focus. This improves your brain’s energy levels and helps retrieve the concepts you are studying during your exams. 

Quit Getting Scared

Anxiety, stress and fear make matters worse. Instead of constantly worrying about how you would perform in your exam, focus on the exam. Put in your best efforts and the results will automatically be in your favour.

Revision

Once you have understood the concepts, studied all the subjects thoroughly and solved the sample and old GSEB 10th question papers, you need to revise everything. Revision is as important as studying for the exams. 

• Learn thoroughly the important topics given by teachers.
• Solve the GSEB SSC sample papers and question papers.
• Make short notes of equations and important points for last minute revision.
• Be confident during the exam.

GSEB SSC Exam 2026: Passing Marks

Students should score at least 33% marks to pass the GSEB 10th examinations. Any candidate failing to score the 33% marks will have to appear for GSEB 10th supplementary examination. An aggregate mark of 33% is mandatory to clear the GSEB SSC examination. Students must obtain minimum of grade ‘D’ in all subjects to clear GSEB SSC exam. Differently abled students need to score 20% to clear GSEB SSC Exam.

• Students can reading novels, newspapers, and science fiction etc to improve the English language. This will help to improve your vocabulary. 
• Avoid grammar mistakes.
• Practice how to write a letter, applications, and speeches to understand the format properly.
• Write and practice essays.
• Follow the best grammar books and learn the rules and then practice the maximum number of questions.
• Practice unseen passages as it is quite scoring and needs minimum efforts.
• Students must be thorough with the literature as it consists of analytical and content questions.

Students can easily score good marks in Maths, if students learn it in the right method. Mathematics is an easy subject that needs conceptual knowledge. Practice more and more sample papers, it will help in an easy understanding of the types of questions asked in the board exam.
