Indian Talent Olympiad Exam Pattern 2025-26: All the eligible and interested students must go through the exam patterns of all the ITO exams 2025-26. Going through the exam pattern would give them an insight into the type of questions asked in the Olympiad exam. They must also go through the ITO 2025-26 Syllabus. The complexity of the question paper varies according to the class. For each class, questions are prepared by understanding their knowledge, ability, and reasoning capacity. The syllabus of the Olympiad Exam is refered from the prescribed and updated syllabus of school boards like CBSE, ICSE, State Board and International Board/s.

The Indian Talent Olympiad (ITO) is a national-level competition for school students from Class 1 to 10. It tests students' knowledge in subjects like Science, Mathematics, English, and others. The main aim is to encourage logical thinking and improve academic skills. The exam is conducted both online and offline. Students can participate through their school or individually.

Q:   What is the exam pattern for the Indian Talent Olympiad?

The Olympiad exams consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each paper has a different number of questions depending on the subject and class. The exam tests conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills. Time is usually limited to 45 minutes to 1 hour. The exam is available in both online and offline modes.

Q:   Who can participate in the Indian Talent Olympiad (ITO) exams?

Students from Class 1 to 10 studying in any recognised school in India can participate. There are different subjects for each class, and students can choose the subjects they want to appear for. Both government and private school students can take part. They can register individually or through their schools. There are no strict eligibility rules.

Indian Talent Olympiad Exam Pattern 2026: Exam Mode

ITO 2022-23 will be conducted in two formats— Online and Offline. Students participating individually need to follow the online exam dates of slot-1 and slot-2. Schools can select between online and offline modes of exam and can follow the dates accordingly.

  1. Students can take tests between 10 am and 5 pm on the particular test date
  2. Test Duration 25 Minutes per Test
  3. Test Questions 30 Format -MCQ

For classes, 1 to 4 there are 35 questions and for classes 5 to 10 there are 50 questions. Refer to the below table to learn the marks allocation:

Online Mode

During the online exam, the audio of the students will be recorded along with the video. There will be eyeball recognition and the image of the students will also be captured. Apart from that, multi-browser detection will be enabled to avoid any unfair means.

The students' report copy will be sent to the schools. A student will also be allowed to retake the exam, in case of persistent network issues.

Duration of Exam: 60 minutes

Timings: Between 9 and 6 pm (Students have to choose an exam slot)
