Indian Talent Olympiad Syllabus 2025-26: National Essay Olympiad (NESO) is for those students who have great knowledge about the language, structuring of sentences, as well as have a great grasp over vocabulary.  Students must be well-versed in the topics on which they attempt essay writing. NESO enhances writing skills. Students can practice essay writing for a variety of topics as per their class. It helps them to focus on literature and prose. For the session 2025-26, Indian Talent Olympiad exams for December 8 for slot 1 and January 12, 2026 for slot 2 will be held.

Q:   How much of the school syllabus is included in the Indian Talent Olympiad (ITO) exams?

Most of the Olympiad syllabus is taken from the current school curriculum. However, some additional questions are included to test thinking ability and logical reasoning. These questions help students improve their problem-solving skills. Around 70 to 80% of the Olympiad paper is from the school syllabus, while the rest checks conceptual understanding. Practicing regularly makes it easier to cover both types of questions.
