Every year, over 14 lakh students register and appear for the Maharashtra 12th exams. The exams are conducted in pen and paper format.

Maharashtra board will conduct the Maharashtra HSC practical exams 2026 in February. The exams are held in schools. 

The board will conduct the theory exams from February 10 till March 11, 2026 in pen and paper format.

You will be allowed to wear a simple analogue watch, which shows time. Any other electronic device, head phones, smart watch or digital watch will not be allowed inside the examination hall. A student is well informed before his/ her exam that he/she should only carry their stationary items in a clear pouch with their roll number sheet provided by Maharashtra Board.

Students must not carry the follow items to exam hall.

• Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, headphones, pagers, fitness bands, cameras, etc.
• Wallets, goggles, handbags, and purses. 
• They must carry all the stationary items that are required to appear for the Maharashtra HSC board exams since sharing of stationary is not allowed.
• Do not forget to carry your Maharashtra HSC admit card on all exam days.

A student will have to complete the paper within 3 hours. Earlier student was given 10 minutes extra time to read the question paper. But from now onwards, HSC student will be provided with an extra 10 minute at the end of the paper to complete it.

Students must focus on completing their Maharashtra 12th syllabus 2025 properly as thorough preparation will prepare them to answer the questions in one go without wasting much time on thinking what to write. Along with the syllabus, students must also be aware of the exam pattern and solve the previous years' question papers.

• Write the answers with proper heading and subheading.

• Cross out the errors neatly with single line.

Students should carry their Maharashtra HSC Hall ticket 2025 on all days of the examination. They will not be allowed inside the exam hall without hall ticket. When appearing for the Maharashtra 12th board exams, you must feel relaxed and comfortable. Yes, you will be allowed to go to the washroom during the examination but only once and with an invigilator. Students often use washroom for using unfair means and cheat in board exams, however, they must know that the invigilator can frisk them anytime during the exam duration. So, it is recommended to use washroom only when needed.
