AIL LET 2026 Counselling: Seat Allotment, Registration, Fees, Procedure

 Candidates can check AIL LET counselling process conducted by Army Institute of Law (AIL), Mohali, for 5-year BA LLB and B.Com LLB programs.

Step 1: Publication of Merit List and Counselling Schedule

Army Institute of Law published official merit list with entrance test results on ail.ac.in. Merit list contains candidates' names, roll numbers, marks, category and All India Ranks. A rank wise counselling timetable and detailed instructions also gets on official portal.  

Step 2: Document Submission & Verification

Shortlisted candidates need to email clear, scanned copies of their original academic and category documents to AIL Mohali admission email before their allotted slot. Candidates need to take below mwntioned documents with them

Step 3: Online counselling 

Candidates will then  participate in AIL LET counselling in online mode. For this, exam authority will share a 'google meet' link with shortlisted candidates via email. They have to click on link as per their category and schedule. 

Step 4: Admission fee payment and seat confirmation  

Then, candidates need to pay application fee for their course as instructed in counselling guidelines to confirm their seat. If admission fee is not paid within given time then candidate's admission will be cancelled. 

Step 5: Physical Reporting

Final admission confirmation is concluded with candidate's physical reporting at Army Institute of Law, Mohali.

The following documents will have to be submitted during AIL LET 2026 Counselling as per the details given below-

(a) Self-Attested Copies of Certificates to be Uploaded along with Online Application Form

(i) Matric Certificate showing Date of Birth.
(ii) 10+2 Certificate with Detailed Marks Sheet.
(iii) Indian Army/Indian Navy/Indian Air Force Category Certificate as applicable.
(iv) Gallantry Award Certificate No. IV (Applicable to Wards of Army Personnel).
(v) Gap Year Affidavit. (Download from Prospectus and Appendix at page viii)

(b) Original Certificates: Scanned copies of original certificates to be forwarded to the institute by email.

Original Certificates (Physical copies) to be deposited with the institute at the time of reporting. List is as under:
(i) Matric Certificate giving details of Date of Birth.
(ii) 10+2 pass Certificate with detailed marks.
(iii) Character Certificate
(iv) Migration Certificate
(v) Category Certificate applicable to Army Category. 
(vi) Gallantry Award Certificate, applicable to Wards of Army Personnel
(vii) Medical Fitness Certificate (download certificate from Prospectus)
(viii) Willingness Certificate (download certificate from Prospectus)
(ix) An affidavit by Father/Mother/Guardian stating whether or not their ward has studied Punjabi at the Matriculation level (in case the ward is above eighteen years of age, the
affidavit shall be signed by him/her).

(x) It is mandatory for students who have cleared their 10+2 Examination from Education Boards other than Punjab, Haryana, Himachal & CBSE/ICSE to produce an Eligibility Certificate from Punjabi University, Patiala at the time of admission.
(xi) Digital photograph with light blue/white background. Selected candidate will send (5) photographs by post to the Institute.
(xii) One Photograph of Parents, Family Members & Local Guardians.
(xiii) Domicile for Punjab Resident Civil Category.
(xiv) Anti Ragging Undertaking to be submitted by admitted students. 
(xv) Copy of Dependent Card , Part II order of Birth/ Discharge book as applicable.

Candidates must note that their admission will not be confirmed until they pay the fees, The admission-cum tuition fee for BA LLB course offered at AIL is as under: 

Note: The fees mentioned above are subject to change.

• It is mandatory for candidates to submit ink signed copy of Category Certificate for Army/Indian Navy/Indian Air Force and documents for weightage (if claimed) at the time of physical reporting to the Institute.
• It is mandatory for the candidates, shortlisted as per the merit of LET for counselling, to deposit an amount of INR 15,000/- as Registration fee along with Willingness Certificate prior to the date of counselling, failing which name of the candidate will be deleted from the counselling list and schedule. Name of candidates once deleted will not be considered for admission at a later date.
• The admitted students will be required to submit the original documents to the Institute on the day of reporting to the Institute which will be intimated to them after counselling. These will be retained by the Institute for registration and verification by Punjabi University, Patiala.
• Candidates who are offered admission must deposit the fees in full within 48 hours. No delayed/part payment will be acceptable.
