AIL LET 2026 Counselling - The counselling schedule for AIL LET 2026 will be released once the results are announced. The link for AIL LET 2026 counselling will be shared with the candidates on their email. Candidates must note that the counselling process for the AIL LET Exam is completely online. The course-wise final merit list/ rank list will be displayed online on the official website. Candidates will have to send the counselling-related documents through email to the Army Institute of Law, Mohali.

The institute will conduct the counselling for AIL LET 2026 on the mentioned dates. Only those candidates who will meet the AIL LET cutoff will be able to participate. Candidates must keep their AIL LET Scorecard 2026 until the admission process is over. Candidates will then have to participate in the counselling process of AIL LET 2026 and, send the documents via email. AIL LET 2026 Counselling Process

It is important to understand the complete AIL LET Counselling Process to avoid any mistakes later. To help you with the same we have mentioned the steps below

Document submission- The candidates will be required to send their academic and category documents (scanned files of original documents) on the email address or carry them to the institute on the counselling day. The counselling mode will be informed to the candidates well in advance through the email. The list of important documents are:

Publishing of merit/ rank list and counselling schedule  - AIL will publish a merit list along with the declaration of results, mentioning names, ranks and category of candidates qualifying LET 2026. Also, a counselling schedule with instructions has been published on the official website. 

Online counselling - Candidates will be required to participate in AIL LET 2026 counselling in online mode. For this, the exam authority will share a 'google meet' link with the qualified candidates via email. They have to click on the link as per their category and schedule shared above. 

According to the exam authority, "The counselling will be conducted on ‘Google Meet’ platform wherein it will be mandatory for the candidate to appear along with one parent as per date and time assigned in the schedule of online counselling. The necessary link required to log in to the meeting will be shared with the candidates before the counselling."

Admission fee payment and seat confirmation  -  Candidates need to pay the application fee for their course as instructed in the counselling guidelines to confirm their seat. If the admission fee is not paid within the stipulated time then the candidate's admission will be cancelled.

Q:   What is counted as Gap year for AIL LET?
A: 

If there is one or more years of gap between the year of passing class XII exam and applying for admission at AIL, it is considered a Gap year. AFFIDAVIT for Gap Year, should be provided to the exam authorities during the counselling process.

AIL LET 2026 Counselling: Documents Required

The following documents will have to be submitted during AIL LET 2026 Counselling as per the details given below-

(a) Self-Attested Copies of Certificates to be Uploaded along with Online Application Form

(i) Matric Certificate showing Date of Birth.
(ii) 10+2 Certificate with Detailed Marks Sheet.
(iii) Indian Army/Indian Navy/Indian Air Force Category Certificate as applicable.
(iv) Gallantry Award Certificate No. IV (Applicable to Wards of Army Personnel).
(v) Gap Year Affidavit. (Download from Prospectus and Appendix at page viii)

(b) Original Certificates: Scanned copies of original certificates to be forwarded to the institute by email.

Original Certificates (Physical copies) to be deposited with the institute at the time of reporting. List is as under:
(i) Matric Certificate giving details of Date of Birth.
(ii) 10+2 pass Certificate with detailed marks.
(iii) Character Certificate
(iv) Migration Certificate
(v) Category Certificate applicable to Army Category. 
(vi) Gallantry Award Certificate, applicable to Wards of Army Personnel
(vii) Medical Fitness Certificate (download certificate from Prospectus)
(viii) Willingness Certificate (download certificate from Prospectus)
(ix) An affidavit by Father/Mother/Guardian stating whether or not their ward has studied Punjabi at the Matriculation level (in case the ward is above eighteen years of age, the
affidavit shall be signed by him/her).

(x) It is mandatory for students who have cleared their 10+2 Examination from Education Boards other than Punjab, Haryana, Himachal & CBSE/ICSE to produce an Eligibility Certificate from Punjabi University, Patiala at the time of admission.
(xi) Digital photograph with light blue/white background. Selected candidate will send (5) photographs by post to the Institute.
(xii) One Photograph of Parents, Family Members & Local Guardians.
(xiii) Domicile for Punjab Resident Civil Category.
(xiv) Anti Ragging Undertaking to be submitted by admitted students. 
(xv) Copy of Dependent Card , Part II order of Birth/ Discharge book as applicable.

AIL LET (Army Institute of Law Land Entrance Test) counselling is primarily for admission to the Army Institute of Law (AIL), Mohali, and usually does not include other colleges. The exam is specifically for filling 75 seats for Army personnel wards and 5 seats for All India Category candidates at AIL Mohali, along with 20 seats for Punjab residents based on 10+2 marks. 

Q:   What is the expected AIL LET cutoff?
A: 

The expected AIL LET 2026 cutoff for the BA LLB programme is likely to be around 90–110+ marks for the General category. The exam is conducted for 200 marks, serves 75 seats for Army personnel wards and 20 for Punjab residents.

A: 

AIL LET 2026 Result will be published online. Since the whole admission process is completely online nothing will be published offline. Candidates must not trust anything published offline.

Candidates must note that their admission will not be confirmed until they pay the fees, The admission-cum tuition fee for BA LLB course offered at AIL is as under:

  • It is mandatory for candidates to submit ink signed copy of Category Certificate for Army/Indian Navy/Indian Air Force and documents for weightage (if claimed) at the time of physical reporting to the Institute.
  • It is mandatory for the candidates, shortlisted as per the merit of LET for counselling, to deposit an amount of INR 15,000/- as Registration fee along with Willingness Certificate prior to the date of counselling, failing which name of the candidate will be deleted from the counselling list and schedule. Name of candidates once deleted will not be considered for admission at a later date.
  • The admitted students will be required to submit the original documents to the Institute on the day of reporting to the Institute which will be intimated to them after counselling. These will be retained by the Institute for registration and verification by Punjabi University, Patiala.
  • Candidates who are offered admission must deposit the fees in full within 48 hours. No delayed/part payment will be acceptable.
