My honest review about my college.
Placements: The placement committee at IIT Madras was highly determined and committed to placing students in the best industrial organizations. The committee organized various mock events to groom students to be industry-ready and future-ready. Some of the top recruiters at IIT Madras were Qualcomm, Intel, Samsung, MaxLinear, SanDisk, MediaTek, Redpine Signal, Analog Devices, TI, and Cypress Semiconductor.
Infrastructure: In the college, the hostel facilities were good enough, with all the facilities available for students. The food in the mess was also good—hygienic and full of taste.
Faculty: The course curriculum was difficult, and so were academics. Faculty members held PhDs in their respective areas and were experts in their fields. Term exams and internal assessments were all planned and scheduled accordingly. Home Science College was a government college, so faculty members were highly educated, and many of professors had completed their PhDs in their subjects, which was beneficial for the students. They were true professionals and well-experienced, providing full guidance to their students. The curriculum of the M.Tech CSE program focused on imparting knowledge about coding, HTML, XML, AI, ML, JavaScript, .NET, etc. Faculty members at IIT Madras were very knowledgeable and qualified. They provided a great deal of education to students in the best possible way. They used business lectures, questionnaires, presentations, etc., and other methods to teach the course concepts.

    Great placement opportunities.
Placements: Almost all the students get placed as we get several placement opportunities. More than 500 companies visited the campus for the placement drive. We are eligible for placements from 3rd semester onwards. The highest package for our branch was 60LPA and the average was around 25LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies were Samsung, Mediatek, Qualcomm, Intel, Sandisk, Cypress Semiconductor etc.
Infrastructure: The IIT Madras campus is well-equipped and well facilitated with all the necessary facilities inside and outside the campus premises which enhances the students' learning atmosphere. The environment is very peaceful and pleasant. The infrastructural facilities are smart classrooms with modern facilities, computer labs, finance labs, medical room facilities, well furnished auditorium, seminar halls, 24x7 Wi-Fi facility, library with a collection of online and offline books, etc.
Faculty: Faculty members are PhDs in their respective subjects, and are expert in their field. The faculty members made sure that we understood the concepts well. The teaching method adopted by the lecturers showed the experience they had in teaching students. Subjects that we study in the classes are carefully formulated and structured according to the level of an IIT. Class size was kept normal so that our lecturers could focus on students easily. Term exams and internal assessments are all planned and scheduled accordingly.

Review of IIT Madras - Indian Institute of Technology.
Placements: Almost 75% of the students got placed in RF and Photonics. The highest package offered was 43 LPA by Qualcomm. The average package offered was 15 lakhs per annum. The lowest package was 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Cisco, Qualcomm, On-Semiconductor, Intel, Tejas Networks, Xilinx, Cadence Design Systems etc. Almost 40% of the students got internships. Most of the students interned in Intel and Qualcomm, and Analog Devices hired 8 people for internships. Top roles offered were hardware engineer, testing engineer, digital design engineer etc.
Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms are in good condition. All the classrooms have fans, lighting, sliding boards and projector facilities. The library is air-conditioned. There is also a digital library, where you can access computers. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. Hostel rooms have LAN facilities. Hostels have windows, gallery, cupboards, fans, tube lights, tables, chairs, LAN and Wi-Fi facilities. Washing machines are available in every bathroom. Playrooms are also available to play table tennis and other games. There is a reading room in every hostel. Food quality is good. There is a Himalayas mess that serves every type of food. Canteens have every type of food, drink and snacks. Canteens are open till 2 am. There is a good hospital in the institute that provides almost all kinds of medical services. From fever to major treatment, everything is taken care of. For sports and games, there are playgrounds and a stadium for cricket. You can play all games on different courts.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and are always ready to help. There are some great faculty members who reply instantly even to our emails. All have done their PhDs. They let the student think rather than memorising the concept. The teaching quality was great. The course curriculum involves digital and analog IC design, DSP applications, antenna theory etc. These all are in high demand for industrial perspectives.
Other: M.Tech in electrical engineering gives you good insight knowledge of electrical, electronics and computer science. This is an interdisciplinary course. You gain knowledge of today's industries requirements. You can get a stipend 12,400 per month if you maintain 6.5 CGPA. Improvements needed are providing good outcomes by teaching parts of that courses in consecutive semesters. There is a cultural fest every year called Saarang. There is a technical fest every year called Shaastra. Apart from that, there is an E-Summit in which you can have conversations with some big business people. It is an event of startup competitions.

Excellent academics and beautiful life in the campus.
Placements: The placement scenario is excellent. Not only in my senior batch but the condition is same from past many decades. Almost all big names like google, oracle, HPCL, etc. came for campus placement. 95% students are placed. For the rest 5%, these are the students those did not sit for placements due to their own business. The highest salary offered in my knowledge is around 65 LPA and the minimum is 3.5 LPA with an average of 8 LPA. Companies offered the role according to their requirement like consulting, manager, planning, etc. Almost 60% students were offered for the internship. Many offers came from abroad. Stipend offered in the range of 2-7 lakhs with an average of 3 lakhs.
Infrastructure: Campus is full of facilities. Every hostel has its own TV room, sports kit (cricket, football, badminton, squash, pool in few, hockey, etc.). A well facilitated hospital is there with 6-7 doctors including many specialist. College area is around 618 acres. Every department has well equipped labs. They provides one of the facility in India. Hostels are non ac but cleaning is properly maintained. Campus has 24*7 canteen for residents. The greenery of the college will help you to concentrate on your work.
Faculty: Professors are best in IIT-Madras. They are very helpful and are knowledgeable. All the faculty members are Ph.D from reputed college across the world. They generally use projectors for teaching. There are facilities for industrial tour in India.

A great campus which is self-sustained.
Placements: The placements for CSE are excellent as always but if you go to the other branches, the chances of placement reduce to 30-50% only. In the case of chemical engineering M.Tech. it is around 10% for core companies and the remaining 20% go in software companies. For B.tech branches, CSE is the best with almost 100% placements while the others also get in core companies to around 30-40%, while the rest of them will get in software with overall around 85-90% placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good but not the best as I have studied in NIT Allahabad(B.Tech). There we have AC in almost all the labs and lecture halls but here in Madras, there are no ACs even in the lecture halls. The library is good with full air-conditioning, and the hospital is excellent and by far the best I have seen in any college. Talking about sports, it can be said that it is one of the best colleges which provides a great support for games and physical activities, from yoga to meditation to almost every sport you can imagine with coaches for some of them like cricket, football, hockey etc.
Faculty: The faculty team is no doubt one of the best for M.Tech. Most of them are having a great knowledge about their subjects and are well-qualified too. You may find a little difficulty while doing the project in the 2nd year so choose your guide wisely or it will spoil your grades.
Other: You will find everything here from shopping centres to ATMs, food court and a 24*7 open IRCTC canteen. Apart from this, the campus is very beautiful to roam around especially at night. There is no smoking and drinking inside the campus. Earlier it was a wildlife sanctuary in which this IIT was built so all the other animals are present except those which can harm us. We have deer, monkeys, foxes, jackals and many other animals.
