The answer to the question," Is a 2000 Rank Good for NIFT 2026?" is Yes, a 2000 rank in NIFT can get you admission in NIFT College. But the chances of getting admission to the top NIFT institutes may be less. At the 2000 rank, candidates have limited choice and can get into new NIFTs Colleges. If your rank is under 800, then you are likely to get top NIFT Colleges, like NIFT Delhi, NIFT Mumbai, NIFT Bengaluru, etc. But there is a chance of getting a top NIFT Institute also if a seat remains vacant in the other rounds of NIFT Counselling.

Commonly asked questions
No, you cannot get into NIFT colleges that you have not listed in your counselling application.
- The NIFT counseling process is done after the exam to allot colleges to qualified students in participating institutes.
- Once the NIFT exam results are announced by the NTA, NIFT will declare its counseling schedule.
- You will be required to participate in the counseling process at your preferred institute. The university will assign you to a NIFT Institute based on your score, rank and preferences.
- If you have not listed any college, you will not get a seat allocation in that college even if you meet the qualifying cutoff.
NTA will release the NIFT 2027 stage 1 result on official website in the third week of March 2027. Candidates can enter their login credentials to download the NIFTEE Stage 1 scorecard.

Once the NIFT Result 2027 is released by NTA, NIFT Stage 2 dates will be announced. Once dates are announced, the NIFT Stage 2 Exam: Situation Test and Personal Interview will be conducted.
