BPCL Recruitment through GATE 2025- BPCL (Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited) will release the notification for the selection of candidates for the post of MT, i.e. ‘Management Trainee’, through GATE 2025 Score. The work of the Trainee entails Operations and Sales in the Marketing function and Process and engineering roles in the Refineries. They need to work shifts in various operating locations/installations/depots.

The post of the candidate would be normally on Probation for one year (Extendable in case of non-satisfactory performance). If a candidate completes the probationary period, he/she will be confirmed as ‘Executive’ in the respective business unit/entity. Candidates will be posted across the country, in any of the businesses/locations or offices BPCL currently exists. For the selection, candidates must have passed four years of BTech degree in Mechanical and Chemical engineering with 60% aggregate marks for General-OBC candidates and 55% for SC/ST. There is no application fee for the BPCL Recruitment through GATE 2025.

Q:   What are the eligibility criteria for COAP?

A:
It is advised that the candidates check the eligibility criteria before COAP 2023 registration. Applications from candidates who do not meet the eligibility conditions are liable to be rejected. Therefore, all candidates must fulfil all the eligibility conditions. Check below for the eligibility criteria: - The candidate must be an Indian national. - Candidates must have a valid GATE score, I. e. , be qualified in 2023/2022/2021. - In the case of more than one valid scorecard, candidates must provide the scorecard with a better score or rank. - Candidates must check the eligibility criteria of the respective institute before applying. Q:   After declining/rejecting the offer, can I be considered for subsequent offers for COAP rounds?

A:

After declining/rejecting the offer (s) in a particular round, you will not be considered for the same offer (s). In case, you have given higher preferences in M.Tech. Application, then you may be considered for the higher preferences in the subsequent round (s) of offers based on the availability of vacancies and merit list, within the rules of that institute. Also, after the last/final round at COAP no offers will be available at COAP. For any offer/admission related matter, candidates must visit the respective Academic Institutes Admission Portal.

Q:   Who can give GATE exam?

A:

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national-level examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) for admission to Master of Engineering (ME), Master of Technology (MTech), and direct PhD programs in engineering, architecture, and related branches of science.

The eligibility criteria for GATE include passing a bachelor's degree in engineering or technology or basic Science from a recognised university, and meeting the specific eligibility criteria for the discipline you wish to pursue. Candidates from India and other countries can apply for GATE, but they must meet the eligibility criteria. The exam is conducted online and is offered in 30 subjects. Registration Process

To register for BPCL, the candidates must enter the discipline/stream of engineering pursued, GATE Registration Number, upload a passport-size photograph with specifications (JPEG, Maximum size 50 Kb), and provide personal and educational details. After this, they can note down the application number generated and print the BPCL application form received on the e-mail ID for further use. Candidates will be selected based on the GATE 2025 scores, Group Discussion, Personal Interview, followed by a Medical Examination.

SAIL Recruitment through GATE 2025: Job Description and Remuneration

  • The work profile entails Operations and Sales in the Marketing function and in the Process & Engineering roles in the Refineries.
  • Candidate will be selected as “Management Trainee” placed in Job Group “A”, with a basic salary of Rs. 24,900/- (Scale of Pay Rs. 24,900 – Rs. 50,500).
  • In addition, Dearness Allowance (DA) based on IDA pattern is payable. House Rent Assistance, if applicable will vary based on the class of city of posting.
  • The total emoluments at entry level in Job Group ‘A’ are presently Rs. 14.1 Lakhs per annum (approx. cost to company).
  • This will include 50% of Basic Pay as Perks & Allowances, Performance Related Pay & 30% of Basic plus DA as superannuation benefits (Provident Fund, Gratuity & New Pension Scheme).
  • Our perquisites include housing / vehicle loan facilities, medical reimbursement for self / dependant family members, LFA, Holiday home facility, Group Savings Linked Insurance Scheme etc.
  • The total emoluments at the entry-level for Management Trainees are presently Rs. 11 Lakhs per annum (approx. cost to company).

SAIL Recruitment through GATE 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Qualifying Examination:

  • /B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg) – Mechanical Engineering through AICTE/UGC approved Indian Universities / Institutes.
  • E / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engg) – Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology through AICTE/UGC approved Indian Universities / Institutes.
  • E / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engg)—Instrumentation Engineering / Instrumentation and Control Engineering / Instrumentation and Electronics Engineering/Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering through AICTE/UGC-approved Indian Universities / Institutes.

NOC: Candidates presently employed in the Central/ State Government, Autonomous bodies, and PSUs need to submit a 'No Objection Certificate'. It will be required at the time of GD / PI, failing which they will not be allowed to appear for the selection process. 

Q:   Who is eligible for GATE exam?

A:

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is the entrance exam for admission to postgraduate courses at IITs, NITs, IIITs in Engineering, Science and other allied subjects. The detailed eligibility criteria of GATE are given below:

  • Candidates who are currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree programme or who have completed any government approved degree programme in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2024.
  • Candidates who possess certification from any of the below list professional societies are also eligible to apply for GATE however, they must ensure that those examinations are approved by MoE/AICTE/UGC/ UPSC as being equivalent to B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Arch./ B.Planning, etc. 
    • The Institution of Engineers (India) (IE)
    • The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)
    • The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE)
    • The Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI)
    • The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, including Polymer and Environmental Group (IIChE)
    • The Indian Institute of Metals (IIM)
    • The Indian Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIIE)
  • Candidates who have obtained/are pursuing their qualifying degree from countries other than India are also eligible. All such candidates must be currently in the 3rd or higher years or must have completed their Bachelor’s degree (of at least three years duration) in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities. 
  • Candidates pursuing or in possession of any higher degree will be allowed to appear for GATE 2024.
  • Candidates must note that there is no age limit to apply for GATE.

Q:   Can I write GATE for mechanical engineering after completing B.Tech in chemical engineering?

A:

Yes, you can take GATE exam with mechanical. The GATE authority allows two paper combination for various papers in case any candidate wish to appear in more than one paper in the same year. The list of two paper combinations for GATE can be checked on the Shiksha page as well as the official website of GATE. 

Q:   Can I appear for GATE after doing Diploma in civil engineering?

A:

Hi Ramesh, GATE is used for applying to M.Tech or ME. After Diploma, you have to apply for engineering (BE). After successful completion of your degree, you can go for M.Tech. So, for applying M.Tech, you have to give entrance exam called GATE. You have to qualify for getting good college. Regards.

Q:   What are passing marks in GATE exam?

A:

Passing marks in GATE exam is different for all 30 papers. The GATE qualifying mark for PSUs recruitment is also different. Candidates appearing in any GATE paper have to obtain the minimum mark in order to be declared qualified for the exam. Only qualified candidates are considered for admission to MTech/MSc/PhD programs and the MHRD scholarship. Candidates can check previous year GATE cutoff for various papers on the Shiksha page or from the GATE official website.

Q:   For how many papers can one student apply in GATE 2025?

A:

Students applying for GATE 2025 can opt for two subject papers from the prescribed set of combinations. Earlier, the candidates could apply to appear in only one subject. As a candidate can appear in only two papers (only approved set) of the 30 papers for which the GATE 2025 will be conducted, they must carefully choose the papers they wish to write. A candidate is expected to appear in the papers appropriate to the discipline of his or her qualifying degree. However, he or she is free to choose any paper according to his or her admission plan, keeping in mind the GATE eligibility criteria of the institutions in which he or she wishes to seek admission. For more details regarding the admission criteria at any particular institute, the candidate is advised to refer to the websites of that institute. Those candidates opting for two paper combinations for GATE 2025 have a primary choice of paper as their default choice. The second choice of paper has to be chosen from the combinations allowed. GATE Score: Scores from any other entrance exam will not be considered for recruitment.

  • Candidates need to apply for BPCL online on the official website after downloading the GATE-2020 admit card and receipt of GATE 2025 registration number.
  • Candidates will need to enter GATE-2025 Registration Number for applying to BPCL.
  • Link to apply for the BPCL career website is https://bharatpetroleum.com/Careers.
  • After completion of the online application form for BPCL, candidates must click on ‘Submit’ to submit the same.
  • After this, the system will generate a unique application ID along with the completed application form, which would be emailed to the candidate.
  • Candidate should take a print out of completed application, affix his/her recent passport size photograph and sign at the space provided.
  • The same will have to be submitted in case the candidate is shortlisted for further selection process.
  • After this, if the candidate is called for further selection process, his/ her identity will be verified with GATE 2025 admit card and GATE-2025 official scorecard.
  • BPCL will consider only GATE-2025 marks/scores

BPCL Recruitment through GATE 2025: Reservation policy

  • General, SC/ ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), and PWDs candidates with a degree of disability 40% 
  • Jammu & Kashmir candidates between 1.1.1980 and 31.12.1989
  • Ex-servicemen & Commissioned Officers (including ECOs & SSCOs, subject to rendering minimum 5 years’ military service and fulfillment of other conditions prescribed by Government of India)

Note: Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (NCL) & PWD categories will need to furnish valid caste certificates & PWD Certificates respectively as per the formats prescribed by the Government of India.

BPCL Recruitment through Gate 2025: General Instructions 

  • Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
  • Each candidate must have an active e-mail ID, valid for at least the next one year.
  • They must have all the valid documents like degree certificate, date of birth, caste/disability certificate (if applicable), e-mail id etc. as these information would be required at the time of filling-in the BPCL online application. 
  • Court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be at Mumbai. 
  • BPCL has all the rights to cancel/restrict/enlarge/modify/alter the recruitment process, if the need so arises, without issuing any further notice.
  • Candidate who doesn’t meet the prescribed eligibility criteria shall be rejected at any stage of the selection process.
