According to the official website of the exam, aspirants who appeared for JEE Main 2017 can view the scanned images of OMR answer sheets with their recorded responses and answer keys from April 18 to April 22. An option to challenge answer keys too will be available in case aspirants feel that the recorded responses differ from the ones they had marked on the OMR sheet.
Please note that the challenge of answer keys will be accepted online only. The link of the same will be available on the JEE Main 2017 website till April 22(upto 11:59 PM). Challenges submitted in post or in person would not be accepted.
To challenge JEE Main 2017 answer keys, aspirants will be required to pay a fee of Rs.1000/- per recorded response/per question. The same can be submitted through Credit/Debit Card, Paytm or SBI Buddy before the last date.
A notice of the exam website states, " If the challenge is accepted by the Board i.e. if the recorded response is not the same as marked by the candidate on OMR sheet, the correction will be done and the fee will be refunded. In case, any registered candidate does not submit the challenge by the prescribed date and time, it will be presumed that his/her recorded response is the same as marked on OMR sheet. The CBSE’s decision on the challenges shall be final and no further communication will be entertained".
"Similarly, if the challenge of answer key is accepted by the Board i.e. if any mistake is noticed by the subject experts in the answer key, a policy decision will be notified on the website and the fee shall be refunded. The CBSE’s decision on the challenges shall be final and no further communication will be entertained", it further states.
JEE Main 2017 Answer Keys For Online Exam
Aspirants who had appeared for the online exam on April 8 and 9 will receive the question paper and marked responses on their registered mail IDs. Challenge of recorded answer keys from such candidates will not be accepted. However, these aspirants can challenge answer keys as per the process mentioned above. But, before submitting the same, candidates will be to verify the sequence of questions and answer options of their question paper (sent to them through email) with the question paper available on the website.
JEE Main 2017 offline exam was conducted on April 2 while the online exam was held on April 8 and 9. JEE Main results will is scheduled to be declared on April 27. Check JEE Main 2017 important dates here.
