NTA has released JEE Main Paper 2 Syllabus for Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing section. Candidates can check JEE Main BArch syllabus along with weightage for each section.

JEE Main Paper 2 Syllabus 2020 has been released by NTA along with the brochure. The JEE Main Paper 2 syllabus will consist of Mathematics, Aptitude, Drawing section. This year, B Planning will be a separate paper from BArch. Through JEE Main Paper 2 syllabus, candidates can get an insight into the chapters, topics for JEE Main preparation. Candidates must note that Mathematics (Part I) and Aptitude Test (Part II) will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only and Drawing Test (Part III) will be held in pen & paper-based (offline) mode to be attempted on drawing a sheet of A4 size paper. Aspirants appearing for the exam can go through the subject wise JEE Main 2020 syllabus below.

JEE Main 2020 Paper 1 will be conducted from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM while Paper II and III will be held in multiple shifts. Paper 2 of JEE Main 2020 might be held in more than one shift. Check JEE Main 2020 important dates here.

Three dimensional - perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, building forms and elements, colour texture, harmony and contrast.

Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil. Transformation of forms both 2 D and 3 D union, subtraction, rotation, development of surfaces and volumes, Generation of Plan, elevations and 3 D views of objects. Creating two-dimensional and three-dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms.

Sketching of scenes and activities from memory of urbanscape (public space, market, festivals, street scenes, monuments, recreational spaces, ect.), landscape (riverfronts, jungles, trees, plants, etc.) and rural life.

Drawing test of JEE Main Paper 2 is based on the designing ideas: Check JEE Main Paper 2 syllabus for drawing section below:

  • Drawing and Designing of geometrical or abstract shapes & patterns in pencil
  • Transformation of forms both 2D and 3D union
  • Elevation and 3D views of objects rotation
  • Development of Surfaces and Volumes
  • Generation of Plan
  • Creating 2D & 3D compositions using given shapes and forms
  • Sketching of activities from memory of urban scenes

JEE Main Paper 2 Exam Pattern 2020

Below is the new exam pattern for BArch released by NTA for JEE Main 2020:

  • Exam mode - Online (Mathematics and Aptitude) and offline (Drawing test)
  • Number of sections and subjects – Three sections - Drawing, Mathematics and Aptitude
  • Duration of exam - 3 hours (180 minutes)
  • Number of questions - 77 questions (Mathematics: 25 questions, Aptitude: 50 and Drawing: 2)
  • Type of questions - Mathematics and Aptitude: Objective type questions
  • JEE Main Paper 2 Total Marks - 400 marks (Drawing section will be of total 100 marks, marking of every question will be given along with it)
  • Language of paper - English, Hindi and Gujarati (Aspirant’s from Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli can opt for Gujarati as well)
  • Drawing Test: Questions to test the candidate’s drawing and sketching skills

Yes. Students with valid JEE Main scores can apply for admissions through the WBJEE counselling. However, these students will be eligible for allotment only in the 10% approved seats offered by the self-financing colleges and institutes participating in the state-level counselling.

Yes the SRMJEEE paper pattern is similar to JEE Main however, the difficulty level is not equivalent to JEE main and the question paper is adjusted to moderate level difficulty level which will be easy for most students.
