MET 2024 was held to select candidates for admission into the BTech courses offered by the participating campuses. The authorities released the MET 2024 application form online at manipal.edu. Candidates were able to fill out the MET application form 2024 to participate in the examination. MET 2024 seat allotment for Round 5 has been released. Candidates can now check their seat allotment status through the MET 2024 counselling Round 5 online at manipal.edu. Allotment of seats has been done based on the candidate's rank, preferences, category and seat availability. MET 2024 cutoff for Round 5 has also been released. The selected candidates will have to confirm their admission otherwise their allotment will be cancelled. MET 2024 Phase 1 and 2 exams were held from April 16 to 17, 2024, and May 18 to 19, 2024, respectively, as a computer-based test. Read to know more about MET 2024.

MET application form 2024 was released at manipal.edu. All candidates aspiring for admission into the participating institutes had to complete their registration process. While filling out the MET 2024 registration form, the candidates were required to enter their details such as contact information, academic details, and other details such as language for question paper, choice of paper, and exam centre.

Q:   What is the expected cutoff of MET?
A:

MET expected cutoff can be checked by the authorities to have a general idea regarding the ranks that they will have to secure to have a higher chance of admission. Based on the previous cutoff trends, the candidates can expect the cutoff range for MIT Manipal as 583 to 35385. For SMIT Sikkim, the cutoff can range from 17622 to 35488 and for MU Jaipur, the expected MET cutoff can range from 10787 to 35584.  Candidates are advised to check the previous year cutoffs carefully to know the desired rank for admission into their preferred course and campus.

Q:   If I meet the MET cutoff, will I be guaranteed admission into that campus and course?
A:

If candidates meet MET cutoff, they will not be guaranteed admission. They will have higher chances of admission into their preferences, but admission is not final. Other factors will also be considered for admission.

Q:   When will MET 2025 cutoff be released?
A:

MAHE authorities have released MET 2025 cutoff for Round 1, 2, 3 & 4. The round-wise cutoff of MET 2025 will be released online after each round of seat allotment result is announced by the authorities. The minimum ranks required for higher chances of admissions into the preferred course and college can be checked through the MET cutoff. The authorities will consider various factors while preparing the cutoff of MET 2025.

MET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for Manipal MET 2024, the candidates need to fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:

BTech Courses - Candidates must have passed Class 12, A-Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology/Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional subjects with a minimum of 50% marks.

Q:   Is the MET cutoff different for every category?
A:

Yes. MET cutoff will be different for each and every category. It is to be noted that the MET cutoff will mostly be higher for general category and those courses and campuses that are popular and in demand. Separate MET cutoffs will be released for every round of counselling. More details regarding the MET cutoff will be announced by the authorities. Candidates will be able to check the MET cutoff online during the counselling process.

Q:   Where can I access the previous year MET cutoffs?
A:

Candidates can access the previous year MET cutoffs online The round-wise MET cutoffs can be checked for reference and to know the probable ranks required to have higher chances of admission. MET cutoff varies as per the campus, course and rounds of counselling. Through the previous year MET cutoffs, the candidates will also be able to understand the admission pattern and accordingly prepare for the examination and counselling process.

Lateral BTech - 3 years Diploma in Engineering granted by the Board of Technical Examination of a State Government or passed BSc Degree from a recognized University with at least 45% marks and passed class 12 with Mathematics as a subject.

MET 2024 Exam Pattern

Manipal University has released the MET 2024 exam pattern on its official website. MET 2024 question paper will be in English and the candidates will have to attempt multiple-choice questions. Amongst the provided options, the candidates will have to search and mark the correct answer for every question.

The most important part of preparing for any state-level or national-level entrance test is the exam pattern. All the candidates are advised to go through the MET exam pattern stated by the official exam conducting body. Have a look at the MET exam pattern given below:

  • Mode of Examination: Online i.e., Computer-Based Test
  • Language of Paper: English and Bengali
  • Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Question (MCQ)
  • Total Number of Questions: 200
  • Total Marks: 800
  • Marking Scheme: 
    • 4 for every correct answer
    • -1 for every wrong answer
    • 0 for every unattempted question

MET Syllabus 2024

The syllabus of MET 2024 is available on the official website of MAHE. Candidates are advised to have a thorough understanding of the MET 2024 syllabus for an effective preparation strategy. The MET syllabus will help the candidates to study the relevant topics, chapters and practice questions for the same. Candidates can also refer to the books related to the syllabus and prepare from previous years' MET question papers. 

MET 2024 Slot Booking

Registered candidates were able to access the MET 2024 slot booking facility online. Through the slot booking process, the candidates had to select their choice of examination slots i.e., date and time as per their preference and availability. Since it was a first-come-first-serve process, the candidates were advised to complete the slot booking process as soon as possible. MET 2024 admit card was generated after the candidates completed the slot booking process.

MET Admit Card 2024

MET 2024 hall ticket for the second attempt is now available. Candidates will be required to log in to the official website using their credentials to download the MET admit card 2024. For the first attempt, the MET hall ticket was released on April 13, 2024.

How to download MET 2024 Admit Card?

Below are the steps to access the Manipal University admit card 2024 online.

  • Visit manipal.edu and click on the hall ticket link.
  • Enter the application form number and MET slot booking password
  • After entering the above details, the admit card will be displayed.
  • Download and take a printout on A4 size paper, only.
  • Keep this safe for all future references. 

Note: The MET admit card should be produced at the time of counselling/admission.

MET Result 2024

MET 2024 results for Phase 2 exam has been announced online by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE).

Steps to check MET Result 2024

The following steps will help candidates to check their Manipal 2024 results:

  • Visit the official website of Manipal University.
  • Navigate to the result link.
  • Candidates will have to enter their email ID and password generated during the registration process.
  • After entering the details, the MET result will be displayed.
  • Download the result and print the same.

MET 2024 Counselling

Qualified candidates will have to participate in the MET counselling process by logging in using their application form number and OTBS password. After updating their profiles, they will have to pay the counselling fee and fill out their choice of colleges and courses. The choices should be filled in the order of preference. MET 2024 seat allotment will be done based on the candidate's rank and preferences.

Q. When will Manipal MET 2024 be conducted by Manipal University?

A. Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2024 will be held in two attempts. The authorities is conducting MET 2024 from April 16 to 17 (first attempt) and May 18 to 19, 2024 (second attempt). 

Q. When will MET 2024 results/rank list be declared?

A. The MET 2024 result for Phase 1 and 2 exams were announced on April 20 and May 23, 2024, respectively.

Q. What is the eligibility criteria for Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2024?

A. The candidates should be Indian nationals. They must have passed class 12 exam from recognized Central (CBSE / ISC) or State Boards, A-Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional subjects. Candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.

A. Yes. MAHE conducted MET 2024 second attempt from May 18 to 19, 2024.

A. There are a total of 16 programmes available under Manipal Institute of Technology at the BTech level.

A. General category admissions are done on the basis of ranks obtained in the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2024. Foreign/NRI category admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

No, the authorities will not accept digital copies of the MET admit card at the exam centre. All students will have to bring a print out of their hall ticket for verification. If the students do not have the physical copy of their admit card, they will not be allowed to attempt the exam.
