SRMJEEE Eligibility Criteria 2026: The SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) has released the eligibility criteria of SRMJEEE 2026 exam. Candidates interested in applying for BTech admissionn in SRM must check the SRMJEEE 2026 eligibility criteria before filling the application form.

Criteria 

Eligibility Requirement

Nationality

Indian Residents, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), and holders of PIO or OCI cards issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit

Must have attained 16 years and 6 months by July 31, 2026.

Qualifying Exam

Passed or appearing in 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent in 2025 from a recognized board (CBSE, ICSE, State Boards, NIOS, or IB).

Subject Requirements

Physics and Mathematics are mandatory for most B.Tech programs. A third subject must be chosen from Chemistry, Biology, CS, IT, or Engineering Graphics.

Special Streams

For B.Tech in Biotechnology, Genetic, or Biomedical Engineering, candidates with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) are eligible.

Direct Admission

Reserved for Top 1000 JEE Main rankers, Board Toppers (CBSE/State), and District Toppers from Tamil Nadu.

SRMJEEE Eligibility Criteria: Nationality, Domicile and Age Limit

SRMJEEE Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualifications

As far as the academic qualification is required, candidates must have passed or appeared in 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent examination (NIOS) in the current academic year with mandatory subjects such as Physics and Mathematics are compulsory. Apart from these subjects, at least one from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Engineering Graphics, Botany, or Zoology.

SRMJEEE Eligibility Criteria: Special Stream Requirements

For students applying for Biotechnology & Biomedical Engineering they must have studied Biology instead of Mathematics at 10+2 level. For NIOS Students they must have completed their 10th standard through regular schooling. For international boards students with International Baccalaureate (IB) or A-Level certification are eligible if they have studied core subjects as mentioned above.

SRMJEEE Eligibility Criteria: Who can not apply?

Students holding diplomas in engineering are not eligible for SRMJEEE entrance exam; they must apply through Lateral Entry admission process for second year of B.Tech.

SRMJEEE Eligibility Criteria: Important Points

  • Students with a year gap of more than 3 years after completing 10+2 are not eligible.
  • Direct Admission without SRMJEEE is not possible except special management permission or top-tier rankers/toppers.

To apply for SRMJEEE PG, candidates need to meet the minimum qualifying criteria which includes academic criteria and minimum qualifying criteria, which are as follows -

  • BTech/B.E in the relevant discipline
  • Minimum qualifying mark of 50%

The SRMJEEE PG 2026 phase III application form last date is July 10. Registered candidates will have to attempt the remote-proctored exam on July 15.

The last date to apply for SRMJEEE PG Phase II application form was May 11, and the exam was held on May 16 in remote-proctored mode.

The admit card is released a few days before the exam date. The exam conducting authorities will inform applicants on registered email ID regarding the issuance of SRMJEEE PG admit card.

No, candidates cannot change their SRMJEEE M.Tech exam date once allotted. Students will have to appear for the exam on the date they have applied for.

The difficulty level of Physics section in SRMJEEE is similar to class 11 and 12 exam. Students can score good marks in SRMJEEE by studying trough NCERT class 11 and 12 books of Physics.

As per the details available in the information brochure, SRMJEEE 2026 will have a total 130 questions, 35 each from Physics and Chemistry, 40 from Mathematics and 20 from English & Aptitude.

The application fees of SRM for international applicants is USD 50 $. It must be noted that NR or PIO card holder need not appear in SRMJEEE. They just need to fill the application form and the selection will be based in qualifying exam scores.

No, it is not mandatory to appear in all three phases of SRMJEEE. Candidates can appear in any one, two or all three phases, depending on their choice. If candidates appear in more than one phase, the best of all attempted score will be considered for admission.
