Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) Tamil Nadu has started the TNEA choice filling for Round 2 on October 5. The initial payment for Round 3 of TNEA counselling has also been enabled. The choice filling and locking is held as per the ranks and aggregate marks obtained by the candidates. Candidates have to participate in the counselling process as per the TNEA rank list. Round 2 of TNEA counselling is being held between 14789 45227.
TNEA Choice Filling 2021 - Steps
Candidates can check steps to fill their choice from below:
- Login: In this step candidates have to login using their credentials and then click on the ‘Sign In’ button.
- View Personal Details: Check the personal details entered during the registration and click on the ‘Next’ button
- Payment: Candidates have to pay INR 5000 (Gen) and INR 1000 (SC/ST) as a counselling fee through online payment or demand draft.
- Add/Remove choices: In this step, candidates have to add their preferences of colleges and courses by clicking on ‘Add choices’.
- Rearrange the choices: Candidates must rearrange their preferences as per their district, branch name, college name and code. Add/remove anytime before the third day before 5 pm
- Choice Locking: After adding/removing choices, candidates have to lock their choices. In this step candidates have to click on ‘Sent OTP’. Once choices are locking it cannot be changed.
- Tentative seat allotment: Once candidates have locked their choices, a tentative TNEA seat allotment will be made based on the rank and preferences of the candidates.
TNEA counselling 2021 will comprise four to five rounds. Each round will be held over 5 days where candidates will have three days to enter their tentative option (college/course). The authority has released the first list of TNEA 2021 seat allotment results on October 05. The seat allotment is done solely based on the merit list prepared by the authority, choices filled and category. Candidates have to visit the TNEA login window to see the result of seat allotment.
