TNEA cut off 2021 has been released by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) along with the TNEA rank list. The authority releases TNEA 2021 community-wise cutoffs for all the candidates. TNEA cut off score is the minimum mark that candidates have to secure to be eligible for admission to BTech courses. Eligible candidates for TNEA 2021 are called seat allotment on the basis of TNEA 2021 cut off marks and availability of seats in the TNEA participating colleges. The TNEA 2021 cut off scores for admission will also be released after each round of counselling on the official website. TNEA cutoffs are different for all the categories depending on various factors of the exam. Earlier, Anna University was the conducting body for TNEA admissions

TNEA Counselling 2021 

DoTE will be conducting TNEA 2021 counselling in an online mode. The counselling will be held for all the candidates who have qualified in the exam and secured more than or equal to the TNEA cutoff scores. Candidates who have been shortlisted on the merit list will be called for the counselling process. The merit list comprises of candidate’s roll number and rank of the candidates. In cases where more than one candidate has the same marks in the common merit list, the inter-se-merit will be determined by the authority. Candidates will be selected as per their class 12 marks obtained in the prescribed subjects reduced to 200 (Mathematics: 100, Physics + Chemistry: 100) in the qualifying examination. The college and the branch will be provisionally allotted through online counselling only, as per their choice, based on their overall rank and community rank.

Hello Jancy,You have not mentioned which category you belong to. With a cut-off of 140, if you belong to the general category, the chances of procuring a seat in ECE in some top colleges are less than comparing the results of previous years. You have not mentioned which category you belong to. With a cut-off of 140, if you belong to the general category, the chances of procuring a seat in ECE in some top colleges are less than comparing the results of previous years. To get a seat in ECE in some top colleges like SSN and PSG, one should have a cut-off score of 190 or above to remain in the safe zone. But, one thing to keep in mind is that scores and ranks vary each year with the difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats. You can try for a management quota, if possible.
