Different universities may have their own requirements but the general documents that you must carry along with you at the time of admission to BTech IT course are the Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, Class 12 provisional certificate, character certificate, category certificate (if applicable), transfer certificate (may be asked for by a few institutions), and other documents like the Voter ID, Aadhar card, etc.. Admission criteria to National Institute of Technology Calicut is primarily entrance based and is different for all UG and PG programmes. To get into UG programmes, the eligibility criteria is the minimum aggregate in Class 12 or equivalent, along with entrance exams. However, the eligibility criteria to get into PG programmes is graduation in any discipline (this may vary from course to course), along with entrance exams.

IIIT Hyderabad offers degree programmes to its aspirants at UG, PG and doctorate (PhD) levels. Programmes offered here are in engineering and Information & Technology. IIIT Hyderabad admission is entrance-based for all programmes. IIIT Hyderabad admission for BTech programmes is done basis JEE Main score/ Olympiad (KVPY) or through SPEC (Special Channel of Admission). SASTRA University provides various programmes and specialisations to students. These courses are available in different streams. For obtaining SASTRA University admission, candidates are selected on the basis of entrance tests. Admission to BTech MIT Manipal is based on a mandatory entrance test, i.e., Manipal Entrance Test MET followed by online/physical counselling sessions. This exam is conducted every year in 3 phases. Interested students need to qualify the exam with valid scores in order to get admission. The total fee for the BTech course ranges between  8.1 L & 13.5 L. In order to be eligible for the BTech course at Manipal Institute of Technology, students must have scored at least 45-50% aggregate in 12.
