How to prepare for GATE 2026?

GATE is a highly competitive exam, and preparation should focus on what's required from candidates to qualify for it. GATE question papers provide a deep conceptual understanding of the chosen subject. To achieve a good GATE 2026 score, candidates must be thorough with conceptual knowledge, have a good command over numerical questions, and have a decisive, rational mind. On average, only 15-20% of students qualify. In GATE 2024, only about 129000 students qualified out of more than 650000 students. Out of these 129000 Candidates, only about 20000 students got admission to the top institutes such as IITs, NITs, and IIITs. In GATE 2025, out of 936019 candidates, 747319 students appeared for the GATE exam.
