
JEE Main Application Form 2026: NTA will release the JEE Main 2026 Application Form in October 2025. The official website for JEE Main registration 2026 has been launched. The NTA has released an advisory on September 29, 2025 for JEE Mains 2026 aspirants to ensure that their Aadhar card, UDID card (for persons with disabilities), and OBC-NCL/SC/ST/EWS certificates (for reserved category candidates) are updated and valid.
The application form will be available online only on the JEE Main official website- jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates are provided here the details of documents required for JEE Mains 2026 and how to fill the JEE form. The details of the JEE Main 2026 eligibility criteria and application fees will be released along with the application form. JEE Main 2026 Eligibility Criteria to Fill Form
NTA is yet to release the JEE Main 2026 eligibility criteria. Candidates can check the eligibility conditions for JEE Main 2026 here, based on last year's details, to ensure they meet the requirements to apply for the exam.
- Candidates must have passed the Class 12 exam in 2024/2025 or are appearing in 2026.
- No age limit.
- No minimum marks in class 12th (75% marks not required to appear in JEE Main)
- For Paper 1 (BE/BTech), candidates must have Physics and Maths in Class 12 and any other subject from Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical vocational subject.
- For Paper 2A (BArch), candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in Class 12.
- For Paper 2B (BPlan), candidates must have Maths in Class 12

Documents Required for JEE Mains 2026 Registration
Candidates must be ready with all the information/ documents required to fill JEE Mains form mentioned here before applying. Here is the list of documents required for JEE Mains Registration 2026.
- Valid email and mobile number. To receive confirmation and verification messages from NTA, an active email address and mobile number are mandatory.
- Class 10 and Class 12 certificates. Candidates need to upload only the Class 10 certificate in the application form.
- Aadhar card details
- Scanned photograph and signature of the candidate
- Candidates belonging to the OBC-NCL/EWS category need to provide details of the issue date and the name of the person who issued the certificate. OBC-NCL/EWS candidates need not upload the certificate, but only the details of the certificate have to be filled in the form.
- Scanned copy of the PwD/PwBD certificate. PwD/PwBD candidates have to upload the certificate in the form.
- Details of net banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI for paying the JEE Main fees 2026

Essential Guidelines for Images and Documents
- A colour or black and white photo should be used. The candidates are allowed to have spectacles in the photograph. Sunglasses and caps are not allowed.
- Unclear photos will not be accepted. The uploaded photo should be clear and adhere to the recommended file size and format as specified in the guidelines provided by NTA.
- The signature should be clearly done on white paper. The size and format of the uploaded signature should comply with the guidelines.
- The documents uploaded should be of the size and format prescribed by the NTA.

JEE Main 2026 Application Fee
The NTA will release the details of the JEE Mains 2026 registration fee along with the information brochure. Candidates are provided here last year JEE Main application fee details for reference. JEE Main fees can be paid online only through Credit/Debit cards, Net banking, and UPI/wallets. The form will be considered submitted only after successful payment of the JEE Main application fee. The candidates who select both Paper 1 and Paper 2 have to pay the application fees for both papers. Also, the fees is different for Indian and overseas applicants.

How to Apply for JEE Mains 2026
The filling of the JEE Main Application Form 2026 is a multi-step process that includes registration, filling the academic and paper details (paper for which appearing), uploading the necessary documents, and payment of the JEE Mains 2026 registration fee. Candidates must apply before JEE Mains 2026 Registration last date and time in order to appear in the exam. Follow the steps below to know how to apply for JEE Main and fill the JEE Main 2026 application form.
- Visit the official JEE Main Registration NTA website jeemain.nta.nic.in 2026 registration link
- Select the "New Candidate Registration" for JEE Mains Apply Online
- Fill the registration form with the required information, and create a passport of your choice.
- Click on the "submit" button.
- The candidate will receive the JEE Main registration number and password on the registered mobile phone and email ID. The JEE Main registration is complete at this stage. Candidates can continue filling the application form by clicking on the " Complete Application Form" button or logging out to fill the form later.

Complete Step-by-Step Guide to fill JEE Main Application Form 2026
The given steps have to be followed to fill JEE Main 2026 application form. Candidates are advised to fill in all the details in the application carefully and not make any mistakes.
Step 1 Registration: In the first step, candidates must complete the JEE Main 2026 registration process at jeemain.nta.nic.in. After clicking on ‘New Registration’, candidates will have to check the instructions and register by submitting the given details:
- Personal Details – Name, Parent’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender
- Present Address
- Permanent Address
- Create password
A strong password has to be generated by candidates. After confirming all of the provided details, the JEE Main 2026 application number will be generated and displayed on the screen. The application number has to be kept safe since it will be required during the entire admission process.
Step 2- Filling of Application Form: Next, candidates will have to select their nationality, category, session of exam applying for, question paper medium and choice of test cities. Four exam cities have to be selected in order of preference. Candidates will also have to provide their education details and parents’ income information.
Step 3- Uploading of Scanned Documents: After filling out the form, candidates will have to upload their scanned documents i.e., photograph and signature. If applicable, the category certificate and PwD certificate also have to be uploaded.
