The order was issued by a Bench comprising Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjiv Khanna and Justices PV Sanjay Kumar and KV Viswanathan. The Court instructed that within seven days, registrars of the concerned High Courts must transfer all case-related documents to the Delhi High Court, where the matter is scheduled for hearing on March 3.

This decision followed a plea by the NLU Consortium requesting the transfer of all related petitions to a single High Court to prevent conflicting rulings. Currently, petitions regarding CLAT UG are pending in Delhi, Rajasthan, and Punjab & Haryana High Courts.

On December 20, Delhi High Court’s single-judge Justice Jyoti Singh partially allowed a plea by 17-year-old candidate Aditya, who flagged certain errors in the CLAT UG 2025 question paper. Justice Singh found two out of five flagged questions contained clear errors and directed the Consortium of NLUs to revise results accordingly.

Both the NLU Consortium and Aditya Singh challenged this ruling before the Division Bench. The NLU Consortium argued that the single-judge should not have interfered in exam evaluations, while Singh sought corrections for three additional questions, citing ‘blatant mistakes.’

Amid ongoing litigation, the NLU Consortium approached the Supreme Court, seeking a centralized hearing.

Additionally, controversy surrounds the CLAT PG 2025 results, with challenges related to incorrect answer keys pending before the Madhya Pradesh and Bombay High Courts.

Yes, the application form for CLAT was released long back in August. Those who have not filled the form yet must understand that there is no right day to fill the form. You should fill is as soon as possible. Because if you miss it you have to wait one more year unnecessarily to appear in the exam.

The last date to submit the application form is October 31, 2025. It must be noted that the consortium will open the application correction window after that. Sometimes the consortium do extend the last date for registration but it is better to fill the form way before and why to wait.
