The Consortium of National Law Universities released the CLAT 2027 exam schedule on July 22. The Consortium released the CLAT 2027 registration forms online on August 3 as per the dates notified in the official schedule. The last date to apply online for the CLAT exam is October 31. Candidates are required to follow the specifications given under the instructions published on the Consortium's portal. CLAT 2027 Photo and Signature Specifications: The National Law Universities are the premier institutes in India offering the best law courses with world-class amenities. Studying law in the NLUs is the dream for most of the CLAT aspirants. The journey to fulfil this dream starts with filling the application form. The Consortium of NLUs released the CLAT 2027 registration form on August 3 on its official portal: consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The Consortium also released the specifications for the images of the photo and Signature under the instructions on its portal.
Candidates must conform to the specifications given by the Consortium for uploading the photo and signature because in case of any variation from the specified size, either the image will not be uploaded or the form will get an objection and the candidate will be required to fix it to remove the objection. The last date to apply online for the CLAT is October 31.
The Consortium has prescribed the instructions to fill the CLAT application form and pay the fee as prescribed in the instructions. While filling the online application form, the candidates must upload all documents such as a passport-size photograph and signature in the prescribed format only. Candidates should follow CLAT photo size, signature dimensions and uploading guidelines. If the photograph and signature do not follow the size and format given in the instructions, their CLAT application can be cancelled.

Guidelines Regarding Postcard Size Photo for CLAT 2027
The consortium releases guidelines regarding photo upload. Let us take a look at the details here
- A recent colour photograph with name and date.
- The background must be either white or light colour.
- The face of the individual must be clear and visible.
- The image should be professional-looking.
- There should not be red-eye in the photo.
- If you wear glasses, ensure that there are no reflections.
- The image should be uploaded in JPEG format.

The Consortium will open the correction window once the registration process is over. Candidates must note that this is their last chance to edit their already submitted CLAT application form.
The difficulty level of CLAT 2027 is considered to be moderate. The exam is conducted to assess candidates' ability to think critically and solve problems. There will be five sections.
Solving mock test helps candidates to understand the exam pattern and also the sections they are lagging behind. With this they can rework on those section where they are scoring low. CLAT mock test also helps candidates to understand the time based prepration to solve the question paper on exam day.
Guidelines for Uploading CLAT Signature
Before filling out the application for the CLAT exam 2027, candidates are advised to check CLAT exam eligibility. They can follow the guidelines given below
- Candidates must sign on white paper with a black ink pen.
- A signature should be made by the candidate and not by any other person.
- Use small letters in the signature after a capital first letter
- Candidates must do their signature with their running hand.
- Signature on CLAT Admit Card and attendance sheet should match.
- Exam Day signature should also match the signature uploaded in the online form.
- Consortium allows a maximum signature size of 100 KB. However, candidates are recommended to keep CLAT signature in 10–20 KB size range.
- The recommended dimensions of CLAT signature should be approximately 140 × 60 pixels
- Students need to upload the signature in jpg / jpeg format.
- Candidates must ensure their signature on academic and personal documents is similar to the signature used in the CLAT exam process.

- Scanner should be set to a minimum of 200 dots per inch
- Set colour as True
- Scan Photo & Signature as per the format
- Crop image
- Save file in JPEG format

Candidates can make unlimited changes to their CLAT photo and signature before the final submission. Students can modify these documents from their dashboard. After CLAT form is submitted, uploads can be changed only during the application correction window. The Consortium activates the correction window after CLAT registration closes. CLAT application fee is not refunded if a form is rejected for non-compliant documents. Candidates need to submit a fresh application (with fresh payment) in such cases. It is therefore recommended to complete CLAT exam registration early so that you get ample time to fix mistakes.
