The Maharashtra CET cell started the Institute Level Round for ACAP seats on the official CAP portal. Candidates can participate in the MHCET Law Counselling for the remaining seats which were not filled during the previous rounds of counseling. The colleges will display the seat allotment list on the college website or noticeboard, and it will also be displayed on the CAP portal. The candidates whose names will appear in the MHCET 3-year LLB final seat allotment list will have to report to the allocated college for seat confirmation. Q:   When will MH CET Law 2026 exam be conducted?
A:

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Cell is likely to conduct the MH CET Law 3-year LLB & 5-year LLB exam in April 2026.  The exam will be held in Maharashtra state and nearby cities. The MH CET Law 2025 exam for admission to 5-year LLB & 3-year LLB courses will held in computer-based mode at test centres allotted to applicants. 

The MH CET Law 2026 exam dates will be released on the official website of CET Cell Maharashtra with the title "CET Cell Maharashtra". These dates are subject to revision by the exam authority.

Q:   What is the reporting time to reach the MH CET Law exam centre for the MH CET Law 2025 exam?
A:

MH CET Law 2025 will be conducted in two shifts: the morning shift and the afternoon shift. The reporting timing for shift 1, or the morning shift, is 7:30 AM. The MH CET Law 2025 exam for this shift will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.However, the reporting time for the MH CET Law 2025 afternoon shift or shift 2 exam is 12:30 PM. The MH CET Law 2025 shift 2 exam is from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Candidates need to make sure they reach the MH CET Law exam centre at least 30 minutes before the reporting time for security purposes and understand the seating arrangement.

MH CET Law 2025 Counselling Process

The Maharashtra LAWCET counselling is conducted through a Centralised Admission Porcess (CAP). Candidates have to register online and get their document verification done to be eligible for admission to the college. The choice filling process to select the colleges of preference for admission can also be exercised during the MHCET Law Counselling process. Thereafter, the admission cell releases a seat allocation list and selected candidates will have to report to their allocated college for confirmation of seat.

During the counselling process, candidates have the option to ‘Freeze’ or ‘Float’ their choices.

  • Float option- If candidates are not satisfied with the allotted colleges, they can choose the ‘Float’ option. Candidates exercising this option are eligible for appearing in the subsequent counselling rounds. In case they are not offered seats, they can choose the previously allotted college.  
  • Freeze option- Candidates can exercise ‘Freeze’ option to confirm their allotment and if they do not want to participate in the further counselling rounds. They will accept the allotted college and pay the admission fee. Such candidates will not be considered for further counselling rounds.

Documents Required for MH CET Law 2025 Counselling

The list of documents required for admission formalities at the allotted colleges are: 

  • MHCET Law 2025 Admit Card
  • MH CET Law 2025 Rank Card
  • MH CET Law 2025 Application Form
  • Class 12thand class 10th mark sheets
  • Graduation mark sheets and certificates for three-year LLB course admission
  • Caste certificate – SC/ ST/ OBC/ MH reserved categories
  • Domicile certificate/ Birth certificate/ School leaving certificate (mentioning the place of birth/ Community, Nativity & date of birth certificate)
  • PwD certificate and medical certificate
  • Photographs (at least four)

How to Check MH CET 3-year LLB Result 2025

To check the MH CET LLB 3-year result, follow the steps given below:

  • Visit the official website of MAH CET Cell, cetcell.mahacet.org
  • Navigate through the homepage to find the MH CET 3-year LLB result link
  • OR, Click on ‘CET Examination Portal AY 2025-26’, a new page will open
  • Fill in your registration number and password
  • Click on Scorecard tab, download the PDF
  • Take the print out of MH CET LLB 3-year result card for future reference

Q:   When will MH CET Law 2026 notification be released?
A:

The MH CET Law 2026 exam for 3-year LLB programme is likely to be held in April 2026 in a computer-based mode at different test centres.  The MH CET Law 2026 exam for admission to 5-year LLB courses will be conducted tentatively in the same computer-based mode or online mode at test centres allotted to applicants. The MH CET Law 2026 notification for both 5-year LLB and 3-year LLB programmes will be released on official website The MH CET Law 2025 notification includes the following details:

The MH CET Law dates are subject to change. Thus, candidates always need to check MH CET Law dates to track changes in the exam date, and dates related to MH CET Law registrations, release of admit card, result, release of seat allotment lists and counselling.

Q:   What should I carry to the MH CET Law exam centre?
A:

You should carry the following items to the MH CET Law exam centre:

  • Your MH CET Law admit card
  • A valid photo ID card
  • A ballpoint pen

You are not allowed to carry any other items into the exam centre, such as electronic devices, study material, or food and drinks.

Here are some additional tips for carrying the required items to the MH CET Law exam centre:

  • Keep all the required items in a transparent file or folder. This will make it easier for the exam invigilators to verify them.
  • Make sure that all the items are valid and have not expired.
  • Carry a few extra copies of the required items in case you lose or damage any of them.

MH CET Law 2025 Tie-Breaking Method

In a case where candidates secure the same rank or marks, the following method of tie-breaking is applied:

  • Candidates with a higher percentage of marks in Class 12 or equivalent exam are given preference in the merit list
  • Candidates securing a higher percentage of marks in the first language in Class 12
  • Candidates with a high percentage of marks in Class 10
  • A higher percentage of marks in English in Class 10 or equivalent exam

The candidates will have to mandatorily carry the hall ticket to the examination hall to avoid rejection in sitting for the exam.
