Consortium of NLUs will conduct the CLAT 2027 exam tentatively in December. The entrance test will be conducted in pen and paper-based mode for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in law courses across India. Students who are willing to appear for CLAT Exam must know what is a good score in the CLAT exam for admission in NLUs. Students must secure atleast 100+ marks in CLAT 2027 to secure their admission in Top NLUs across India. The CLAT 2027 Exam Date has not been announced yet. However, it is expected that the CLAT Exam 2027 will be conducted on December 6, 2026. 

Students can expect CLAT Notification in July, while the application process will tentatively begin from CLAT Application Process in online mode. The notification will carry all the important information such as exam date, application process, syllabus, pattern etc.

As per the CLAT exam pattern, the number of questions will be 120. Candidates will be shortlisted for admission to NLUs based on the CLAT Score 2027. Candidates will have to score well to confirm admission in one of the best NLUs.

CLAT Ranks 2027

To shortlist candidates for the final seat allotment process, the exam authority arranges their names in order of merit. Therefore, the merit ranks of candidates qualifying CLAT exam are determined based on the following factors: 

  • Section-wise marks in CLAT 2027
  • Overall marks secured in CLAT results
  • Age of the candidate 

In case there are ties in marks of two or more candidates, then the merit rank will be determined as under:

For undergraduate courses - 

  • Candidates securing higher marks in the legal aptitude section of CLAT UG question paper will be ranked higher 
  • In case of further tie, candidates older in age will be ranked higher 
  • Finally, if the tie still exists, then a computerized draw of lots. 

For postgraduate courses - 

  • Candidate older in age is ranked higher 
  • In case of further ties, a computerised draw of lots will determine the ranks of candidates

No, candidates who apply for BBA LLB (hons) admissions at NMIMS Mumbai through CLAT-UG are not required to appear in NLAT to qualify. 

During selection process, such candidates will be selected based on CLAT-UG scores only for BBA LLB (hons) admission.

CLAT is not compulsory to get admission in BA LLB programme. Amity University, Bengaluru offers merit-based admission into BA LLB programme. However, the university accepts CLAT scores for admission as well.

DU cutoff 2026 has been released for BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons) courses based on CLAT score. During the Round 2 cutoff 2026, the cutoff for BA LLB (Hons) admission was 90.25 for students belonging to the General AI quota. No, CLAT is not compulsory for BA LLB at Jain University. The university accepts JET-LAW and AILET scores as well along with CLAT. The selection is based on entrance merit and interview performance.

Yes, students can get admision in JECRC University BA LLB without CLAT. JECRC University BA LLB admissions are merit- based. Students are selected based on scores in last qualifying exam, followed by Personal Interview. Although, preference is given to students with valid score in CLAT.

No, aspirants do not require CLAT score for admission in BA LLB (Hons) course. Candidates can get admission in BA LLB (Hons) programme based on their merit. They only need to meet eligibility i.e. Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate for admission.
