Aims Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) is a management exam that is conducted by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) every year for admission to MBA, PGDM, PGDBA and MCA programmes. ATMA 2025 is a national-level entrance exam whose scores are accepted by more than 500 government and private B-schools across the country. The aim of the ATMA exam is to assess the student’s aptitude required for higher management studies.

ATMA 2025 Registrations

ATMA 2025 application window will likely open in December 2024 for the ATMA exam 2025. The ATMA application forms will be available on the official website of ATMA AIMS. The application form will be the same for all programmes and the candidates can choose their preference while filling out the ATMA 2025 application form. Candidates must know that the application form can be filled out online and there is no option of filling the form offline. Q:   What is the sectional time limit in ATMA?

A:
The ATMA exam is conducted for three hours or 180 minutes. The exam will be conducted in the computer-based test mode. There are six sections in the ATMA question paper, I. e. two sections on Analytical Ability, two sections on Verbal Ability and two sections on Quantitative Aptitude. Each section is to be solved within 30 minutes. Since ATMA is a centre-based online exam the test screen will move from first section to the next section automatically as soon as the time limit gets over. Thus candidates have to be mindful of the on-screen timer and pre-decide the number of questions to solve in each section. It is not mandatory to solve all the questions in ATMA exam so candidates can devise a strategy to use 30 minutes per section as per their strength and weakness.

Q:   What are the important topics of the Quantitative Ability section in the ATMA exam?

A:
Quantitative Ability section of the ATMA question paper is one of the toughest sections. The important topics of this section include Arithmetic, Algebra Modern Math, Geometry, Number System Average, Ratio and Proportion, Percentage, Profit and Loss, Time, Speed and Distance, Mensuration Permutation and Combination, Quadratic Equation, Logarithm, Probability Statistics Pie Chart, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Mixture and Allegations, Time and Work, etc. The Quantitative Skills In the first section of the ATMA exam and this section is difficult in nature and in the second part of this section, the difficulty level rises. However, the overall difficulty level can be considered to be moderate to difficult. The Quantitative Ability section (Part 1 and Part 2) carries 30 multiple-choice questions each which are to be solved within 60 minutes. Candidates will be provided with the rough paper for calculations and they will be required to choose the correct option against the question.

Q:   Which are the new exam centres for ATMA exam?

Documents required for ATMA 2025 registration

The following documents will be required for ATMA 2025 registrations:

  • Digital copy of passport-size photograph and signature of the applicant
  • Digital copy of latest OBC (Non-creamy) / SC / ST / DAP category certificate as applicable
  • Digital copies of mark sheets of Class 10, Class 12 and Graduation
  • Sponsored candidates are required to upload a sponsoring certificate as per the format available on the official ATMA website
  • Credit/ Debit card or Net Banking details to pay the fees online

The first step in the ATMA 2025 application process is the ATMA application fee payment. Candidates willing to appear for the ATMA exam have to visit the official website and register by filling in the required details such as the name of the applicant, date of birth, city, mobile number, email ID and verification code.

Candidates need to make the fee payment using a credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI. The application fee is non-refundable. Applicants will receive a confirmation email and Personal Identification Number (PID) on their registered email ID and mobile number which can be used as a login credential. The ATMA application fee is INR 2000 (including GST) for all candidates. Women candidates and candidates from the North-Eastern states of India will be provided a fee concession as below:

Step 2: ATMA application form 2025

The second step in the ATMA application process is filling out the ATMA application form 2025 in detail. Candidates need to visit the official website and login using the PID number and Date of Birth. They need to fill in details such as communication address, preferred test city, education qualifications, marks and percentage obtained in Class 10, Class 12 and Graduation.

Q:   What is the marking scheme of the ATMA exam?

A:
ATMA has a total of 180 questions. Each section carries 30 marks. For each correct attempt, one mark is awarded and 0.25 marks are deducted for incorrect attempt. There is no deduction of marks for unanswered questions. Therefore, the total marks of ATMA is 180. Each section in the ATMA question paper carries equal number of questions and marks. Sectional marking scheme for ATMA is given below: 1. Verbal Ability: 30 2. Analytical Reasoning: 30 3. Quantitative Ability: 30 Since ATMA has negative marking scheme, candidates must choose the questions to solve very carefully and smartly. If they are not sure of the correct answer, they should leave the question instead of taking a chance.

Q:   What are the important topics of the Verbal Skills section of the ATMA exam?

A:
Just like other management entrance exams, the Verbal Skills section is divided into Reading Comprehension and Verbal Ability/English Usage. There are about four to five comprehension passages while the topics of English usage are as follows: 1. Synonyms 2. Antonyms 3. Grammar 4. Fill in the blanks 5. Word meanings 6. Vocabulary 7. Parajumbles 8. Idioms and Phrases 9. Error Identification 10. Para Formation Questions (PFQs) 11. Correct statement 12. Cloze 13. Incorrect word/phrase.

ATMA (AIMS Test for Management Admissions) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) for admission to MBA/PGDM and other postgraduate management programmes in various B-schools across India.

The syllabus and exam pattern for ATMA are as follows: Syllabus: The ATMA exam tests the candidate's aptitude in the following areas:

Analytical Reasoning Skills Verbal Skills Quantitative Skills Exam Pattern: The ATMA exam is a computer-based test. The duration of the exam is 180 minutes (3 hours). The exam consists of 180 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The questions are from three different sections, namely Analytical Reasoning Skills, Verbal Skills, and Quantitative Skills. Each correct answer carries one mark, and there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for incorrect answers. The total marks for the exam are 180. The detailed section-wise exam pattern is as follows:

  • Section 1: Analytical Reasoning Skills This section tests the candidate's analytical and logical reasoning abilities. It consists of 60 MCQs. The section tests the candidate's knowledge of topics such as Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, Analogy, etc.
  • Section 2: Verbal Skills This section tests the candidate's English language skills. It consists of 60 MCQs. The section tests the candidate's understanding of topics such as Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, etc.
  • Section 3: Quantitative Skills This section tests the candidate's Quantitative Aptitude. It consists of 60 MCQs. The section tests the candidate's knowledge of topics such as Arithmetic, Algebra Geometry, Trigonometry etc.

Candidates are also required to choose their choice of ATMA 2025 score accepting institutes and upload the required documents such as photograph and digital signatures.

The ATMA 2025 exam pattern is prescribed by AIMS. The exam will be conducted in a computer-based test mode. The ATMA 2025 question paper will be divided into six sections which will have questions based on Analytical Reasoning, Quantitative Skills and Verbal Skills. ATMA 2025 Syllabus Overview

The ATMA 2025 syllabus is not prescribed by AIMS but it outlines the section-wise topics that the students need to study to ace the ATMA exam. The ATMA 2025 question paper consists six sections, i.e. Analytical Reasoning (Part I and II), Quantitative Skills (Part I and II) and Verbal Skills (Part I and II).

Analytical Reasoning (Part I and II) will have 60 questions from topics such as Critical Reasoning, Coding and Decoding, Syllogisms, Arguments and Statements, Data Sufficiency, Statements and Conclusions, Strong and Weak Arguments, Arrangements, Blood Relations, etc.

Quantitative Skills (Part I and II) will have 60 questions from topics such as Arithmetic, Algebra, Modern Math, Geometry, Number System, Average, Percentage, Profit and Loss, Ratio and Proportion, Permutation and Combination, Time, Speed and Distance, Quadratic Equations, etc.

ATMA admit card 2025 will be issued to the registered candidates who have successfully submitted the complete ATMA application form. The admit cards are available online.

How to Download ATMA Admit Card 2025

Check out the steps mentioned below to know how to download the ATMA 2025 admit card:

  • Open the ATMA website
  • Click on ‘Candidate Login’ 
  • Select the exam date and enter PID number and password
  • Download the ATMA admit card sand save a copy

ATMA admit card is a mandatory document to be carried to the exam centre. Candidates must also carry a photo ID proof issued by the Government of India. Candidates must make sure that they carry two copies of the ATMA admit card along with one original recent passport-size photograph affixed on each of them.

ATMA Results 2025

ATMA 2025 results will be announced online. The result cum scorecard will be available for download on the official website of ATMA AIMS. The scores will be valid for admission for the academic year 2025-26. The ATMA result 2025 will contain candidates’ section-wise scores and percentile along with total scaled score and percentile. It will also contain a result validation key.

ATMA Cutoff 2025

ATMA admission process includes three steps, i.e. ATMA 2025 scores, WAT-GD/PI round and the final selection. Candidates who clear the ATMA 2025 written exam will be required to appear for a Written Ability Test (WAT) or Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) conducted by all the participating institutes. Only the candidates who meet the ATMA 2025 cutoff will be called for WAT-GD/PI round.
