CAT 2024 Test Day Guide is an important document test takers must go through before the exam day. It will be released a few days before the exam. The CAT exam day tutorial and guide will help them in understanding the processes of CAT and other information related to test centres and guidelines.
CAT 2024 tutorial will be released by IIM Calcutta a few days before the exam for candidates to familiarise themselves with the flow of the Computer-Based-Test. CAT test day guide or tutorial is a crucial document for exam preparation as it will explain the CAT 2024 exam day activities including document verification, biometric identification, admit card related guidelines and the format in which the answers need to be entered in the CAT exam.
Test-takers appearing for the exam are advised to go through the CAT 2024 tutorial (guide) carefully in order to understand the latest CAT exam pattern. It will give a clear understanding on how the answers need to be submitted in the online test.
For PwD candidates, facilities in CAT exam include, relaxation of marks in graduation. The minimum score required by PwD candidate in graduation for appearing in CAT exam is 45 per cent aggregate. Apart from that, such candidates are provided scribe service at the exam centre. To avail the service such candidates have to fill the relevant form during registration process.
Every candidate must carry a blue/black ball point pen and a few copies of their passport size photo to the exam centre. They must not carry any stationary item other than the pen. Candidates who have diabetes can carry fruits as per medical prescription. No other item will be allowed inside the exam venue. Candidates must not carry bags or valuables as there will be no arrangement for depositing while candidates appear for the exam. Candidates must also not carry notebooks or rough paper to the CAT exam centre. Any candidate found with an unauthorised item will be disqualified.
CAT 2024 will be conducted on November 24, 2024 in three sessions: morning, afternoon and evening. Candidates appearing in the CAT 2024 must know the exam process beforehand so that they do not waste time in understanding how to navigate the question paper before beginning the test. CAT_Mock_Test_Navigation_Guide
In the CAT 2024 exam, candidates will have to stick to the sectional time-limit as once 40 minutes (53 minutes for PwD candidates) of the section gets over, the screen will switch to the next section. Also, candidates will not be allowed to switch from one section to another as it is mandatory to follow the CAT question paper chronologically, from Section 1 to 2. The CAT Test Day Guide 2024 will help test-takers to get a clear understanding of how to time themselves in such a way that they can solve maximum questions correctly in the given time-frame.

CAT exam is conducted by any one of the top 6 Indian Institute of Management on rotation basis. Each of the top IIM conducts the exam after a gap of five years. The responsibility to conduct the CAT 2024 was given to IIM Calcutta. For CAT 2025, IIM Kozhikode will be the exam convening institute. IIM Kozhikode will be responsible for preparation and conduct of the exam without glitches, in collaboration with TCS for test labs and centres. The institute will design the question papers, exam pattern and guidelines, as well as manage the conduct of exam and preparation of admit card, answer key and result. It must be noted that although the questions will be mostly objective in nature, a few questions might not be of multiple-choice type, and the answers of those questions may require typing on the screen. CAT tutorial 2024 will explain in detail the process of attempting these questions. It will also explain how to submit an answer, how to save an answer for review, final submission, etc. Candidates are advised to go through the CAT tutorials well in advance to get a better understanding of the test format.
