The 2.5 hours of MAH MBA CET exam are crucial mainly because it doesn’t test how much knowledge acquired but tests how you apply that knowledge. To reach your target score in MAH MBA CET 2023, you need to know what to do, when to do and how to do.

Q:   How can I prepare for MAH MBA CET?
A:

MAH MBA CET preparation can be done in two ways – 1. Join a coaching institute 2. Prepare by self study. If you choose the former, you will get complete guidance from the teachers and mentors, but if you choose the later, you will have to be your own guide. Self study will require a lot more discipline and dedication. Take simple yet impactful steps. First of all, check the exam syllabus and see how much time you will require to cover the topics. If you are already familiar with the topics included in the MAH MBA CET syllabus, you will be able to have an estimation of the time required.

Ideally, you should start MAH MBA CET preparation about nine months in advance. That will give you an ample time to understand and master the topics included in the syllabus through theory and practice questions. Join online study groups for problem solving and doubt clearing. Staying in contact with peers will keep you motivated for preparation.

Q:   What is the difficulty level of MAH MBA CET?
A:

MAH MBA CET is a moderately difficult exam. It’s difficulty level is lower than CAT but higher than MAT or ATMA. A major factor that makes MAH CET a difficult test to crack is that the questions are presented in random order and sectional weightage vary in every slot. So, candidates cannot anticipate or plan how many and which type of questions to get to their target score.

Also, the MAH MBA CET is dominated by Logical Reasoning questions and there are comparatively less Quantitative Aptitude questions. Since, there is no set pattern, candidates cannot pre-plan. They need to make a strategy and implement it as soon as they see the question paper. So, those who can think on their feet and can crack the exam better than others.

Q:   Can I prepare for MAH CET MBA in 6 months?
A:

Yes, you can prepare for MAH MBA CET in 6 months as the syllabus in not very different from any other MBA entrance test. The main subjects to study are Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. Data Interpretation is the sub part of Quantitative Aptitude so you need not prepare for it separately. To prepare for MAH MBA CET in six months, make a plan which is more focused on the topics from which most of the questions are asked. This is to make sure that you prepare the right topics in the given limited time. Spend the first three months in covering the syllabus, then utilize the next two months in practicing sample questions as well as mock tests. In the last one month focus on improving your hold on important topics by doing extensive revision and mock tests. You can make your own plan according to your hold over the topics. Know the latest MAH MBA CET exam pattern

It is important to be aware of the latest exam pattern to be able to make a strategy. For the past two years, the questions have been appearing in the test in random order. That is, although the MAH MBA CET question paper have questions from four sections - Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, they questions are not clubbed section wise. So, if you plan to solve one section before another you may end uo moving to and fro too much throughout the test. Maharashtra CET has not shared any information related to the structure of MAH MBA CET 2023 question paper, but candidates must stay prepared for jumbled questions.

Decide a MAH CET target score beforehand

MAH MBA CET question paper 2023 will have 200 questions and the time duration will be 2.5 hours or 150 minutes. Logical Reasoning will have about 75 questions, Abstract Reasoning will have about 25 questions, Quantitative Aptitude will have about 50 questions and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension will have about 50 questions.

Q:   In which section of MAH MBA CET can I score maximum?
A:

It is tough to say that as there is no set pattern of sectional weightage in MAH CET anymore. Since the last two years, the number of questions for each section of the exam, varies for every slot. Meaning that, if in one slot there are 75 questions on LR and 25 AR, in the second slot there can be 60 questions on LR and 40 questions on AR. Similarly, there could be 50 questions on QA in one slot but in the next slot it could be 40. The total number of questions remain 200 in all the slots but the sectional weightage changes. So, one can really not prepare for the exam with the target of scoring maximum in a particular section. They need to prepare for all sections as any section can have maximum questions and the potential to score maximum.

Q:   Is MAH CET MBA syllabus and its difficulty level the same as of CAT or XAT?
A:

Yes, the MAH CET MBA syllabus is same as CAT or XAT but its difficult level is lower than the two. If a candidate has appeared for CAT or XAT, then they can easily clear MAH CET with minimum preparation. The MAH CET MBA syllabus for Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation. There is no Decision Making and General Awareness sections in MAH CET which are there in XAT.

Even though the number of questions are higher in MAH CET, the difficult level is easier than both CAT and XAT as there are less number of reading comprehension passages and related questions. The passages of MAH CET are simpler, shorter and less in number. The Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning questions are also easier in comparison to the questions of CAT and XAT.

Thus, it is only logical to not aim for solving all the questions. So, decide upon a target score beforehand on the basis of MAH MBA CET cut off percentile of your preferred MBA college and focus on only that many question which will help in achieving your target score. Here, accuracy plays an important role. You must solve the questions targeted correctly.

Read the questions and mark the ones that belong to your strength areas. Attempt those questions first as your can solve them with 100 per cent accuracy as compared to questions from topics that you find tough.

Aim for achieving sectional cut offs

Many MBA colleges lay emphasis on sectional scores too for shortlisting candidates. Thus, make sure to reach sectional cut off in each section of the MAH CET 2023 exam.

PwD candidates must carry, their PwD certificate, medical certificate and scribe certificate (if applicable) too.

Keep extra time for revision

MAH CET is a speed based exam and you will get very less time to read and solve a question. You will not have the luxury to spend more than a minute on any question.
