MDI is one of the top B-schools in India and admission to this institute is a dream of many. The waitlist is often long and movement is slow. The institute released final result for MBA admission 2026 in April and the offers were rolled out to selected candidates via email. The first MDI waitlist 2026 was released on May 15 and the second wait list was released on May 22. The third waitlist was released on May 29. The PGP waitlist has been prepared basis the seats vacant after first round of admission.

MDI Waitlist Movement 2026
MDI Waitlist Movement is basically the change in a selected candidate’s status to confirmed. MDI admission for PGDM is based on CAT score. The institute offers PGDM, PGDM-HRM, PGPM-IB, and PGDM-Business Analytics programs of MDI Gurgaon and PGDM program of MDI Murshidabad.
Candidates selected on the basis of CAT score have to appear for the Personal Interview (PI) round. Final result is prepared on the basis of candidates’ CAT score, PI performance, academic and work profile.

PGPM admission waitlist movement is majorly affected by and dependent on admission trend, i.e. how many candidates accept admission offer or reject it. The tkey factors are:
- Total number of candidates selected for admission on the basis of Composite Score
- Number of candidates offered admission in first round
- Number of candidates waitlisted
- Number of candidates accept the offer
- Number of candidates reject the offer
- Number of candidates withdraw admission after accepting the offer

Yes, for some of them. Bahra lists scholarships based on JEE Main marks and CLAT rank, along with BUSET, CAT, MAT, and CUET percentile scores. I am not sure about NEET, so confirm that with the admissions office.

No. The CAT 2026 admit card release date remains the same irrespective of the slot. It is not split or delayed based on assigned slot or exam city.

Yes, one can join an IIM without taking the CAT exam, but this alternative route depends entirely on the type of programme. CAT exam remains mandatory for the flagship two-year full-time MBA (PGP/PGDM) programs. However, some courses may not need a valid CAT score for IIM admission.
