Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test (TISSNET) exam does not demand any high efficiency, however, it requires your passion in your subject area and certain relevant skills, including communication, analytical and presentation skills. Moreover, TISS puts an emphasis widely onto the skills and talents of a student rather than high grades.

TISS conducts its own exam to test students on a certain weightage and know their skills and talents. The colleges include TISS-NET (40% weightage) as an entrance exam, Pre-Interview (30% weightage) and Personal Interview (30% weightage). The weightage of all the three tests is based on TISS-NET marks*(40/100) +GD/PIT marks*(30/50)+PI marks*(30/75). Moreover, the exam pattern remains the same through the consecutive years.

Top Skills for TISSNET

If the student is sharp and brilliant enough to know the basic skills and orientation of analytical skills, I think there’s no need to get the coaching. The basic subjects involved with the TISS-NET include General English (Grammar), basic Math’s (mostly 10th standard), General Knowledge/Current Affairs and analytical/reasoning skills. All these subjects just need a lot of practice. To crack any entrance exam these are the most basic subjects preferred by any college. Thus, one needs to have a grip of these subjects throughout.

TISSNET Difficulty Level

Well, just like every college and course, TISS is not too difficult to go along if you have good command over the exam pattern and the subjects. Thus, you will have to cross less hurdles if you are well prepared in advance. Where Group Discussion is widely considered as the elimination process and PI is considered as the selection process, entrance exam becomes easy to crack. Moreover, TISS allows different colleges on the basis of your percentile, if you have prepared well and scored well, you can get your desired branch-college. Somehow, one needs to manage the grab over subjects as well as communication and presentation skills as TISSNET can get you one step ahead but the challenge lies with PIT and PI
