DTE, Tamil Nadu, releases separate rank lists for MBA and MCA courses, i.e. course wise TANCET topper list on TANCET counselling portal, tn-mbamca.com. The TANCET rank list includes rank, registration number, name, marks (percentile score), date of birth, community and community rank.
PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, is among the top MBA colleges accepting TANCET scores for admission. As per the TANCET cutoff from 2021 and 2020 session, candidates who had secured more than 99 percentile were admitted to the college for MBA Admission. The cutoff score for each year varies and the reservation quota also has an impact on PSGCT admission. The Anna University MBA cutoff 2025 varies for different colleges, rounds, and categories. The MBA course is offered via affiliated colleges of Anna University, wherein the last round cutoff score for MBA admission stood at 5641 for Selvam Educational Institutions, 5632 for Nehru Institute of Information Technology and Management and 5615 for M.A.M. Business School, Tiruchirappalli, for the students belonging to the General AI quota.

TANCET 2025 Ranks Allotment
DTE prepares the TANCET rank list using the percentile scores. Each candidate gets a rank based on how well they performed compared to others. The higher the percentile, the better the rank. The top scorer gets Rank 1, the next best gets Rank 2, and so on. The rank list also includes community-wise rankings for all candidates.

How to Calculate TANCET Score (Percentile)?
Anna University uses a set marking system to calculate each candidate's actual score. The percentile score is calculated by comparing how many candidates scored lower out of the total test takers. The actual score shows individual performance. The percentile shows performance compared to others.
Anna University calculates the TANCET percentile score using the following formula:

- X refers to the total number of test takers with a lower score
- Y is the total number of test takers in TANCET exam
TANCET Rank Allotment in Cases of Tie: Tie Breaking Criteria
TANCET 2025 ranks are given based on the candidate’s percentile score. If two candidates have the same percentile, a tie occurs. DTE breaks the tie by checking who has higher average marks in their qualifying degree, from the first to the second-last semester. If the scores are still the same, the older candidate is given preference in the rank list.

TANCET counselling is conducted by GCT Coimbatore. DTE, Tamil Nadu has allocatted the responsibility for TANCET counselling to GCT, Coimbatore. Candidates will have to participate in the centralised counselling process for TANCET based admissions.

No, there is no facility for revaluation in TANCET exam. The results declared by Anna University are final and will be considered for admissions in Tamil Nadu. Anna University will not entertain any requests for revaluation and rechecking of the TANCET answer sheet.
