Q:   Can I get GIM Goa at 80 percentile in XAT?
A: 

XAT cut off is released category wise. The cut off percentile for female candidates and male candidates are different. The cut offs for engineering and non engineering candidates are different and XAT cut offs for PGDM BM and PGDM HRM are different. As per the GIM Goa cutoff 2023, the percentile was 85 for the General All India category students. So, considering the previous year cutoff trend, a candidate should score above or in the range of 80 to 85 percentile in XAT. 

Q:   Can I get FMS with 95 percentile in CAT?
A: 

Getting in FMS Delhi with 95 percentle in case of General category is not possible but for candidates who aren't from General category still stand a chance. Going as per the past year FMS Delhi cutoff trends candidates seeking admission to FMS Delhi must have an Overall CAT score of 98 percentile if they are from the General category,  90.07 percentile if they are from the OBC category,  82.19 percentile if they are from SC category,  58.1 percentile if they are from the ST category, 85.9 percentile if they are from PwD category and 98 percentile if they are from EWS category.

Selection Criteria for MBA Admission 2026

Selection criteria for MBA includes Group Discussion (GD), Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). There are three stages:

  • 1: Candidates are selected on the basis of exam score (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT)

Maximum marks in CAT is 204. There are 68 questions each carrying 3 marks. VARC is of 72 marks and DILR and Quants are of 66 marks each.

Yes, CAT exam is MCQ type, meaning there are no subjective type questions wherein you have to write a lot. In CAT every question is to be answered in one word or option. However, all questions don't have MCQ options, some are Type In The Answer (TITA) questions.

Yes, students can prepare for the KMAT exam along with the CAT exam. However, CAT is comparatively a difficult MBA exam. The difficulty level of KMAT is easy to moderate, but CAT retains high difficulty levels. Students can use CAT books for KMAT preparation
