NMAT by GMAC exam

NMAT by GMAC, which is conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council, stands apart from other national level management entrance exam in several aspects. The NMAT by GMAC is the most candidate friendly exam owning to its modern approach towards competitive exams. Vikram Shah, Director, Product Management, GMAC, in an interview, shared with us the features that set NMAT by GMAC apart.

The prime motive of NMAT by GMAC is to enable the aspirant to secure a seat in the college of their choice. NMAT by GMAC is designed keeping in mind the international management entrance exams to prepare the students for a global market. The focus is on flexibility, convenience and candidate friendliness. A balanced and non-leaning exam pattern allows a level-playing field for students from all streams.

NMAT by GMAC is flexible:

In NMAT by GMAC, the candidates have full freedom to play to their strength. Since, the students do not have to follow any chronological order for solving the questions, they can attempt those questions first which they find easy. The candidates need not fret over a difficult questions, as well. They can move on to solve other questions and come back to the difficult ones later.

  • Aspirants appearing for NMAT by GMAC can choose the date, time and venue of the exam. Plus, since the exam had 75-day window, the candidates do not have the pressure of deadline (exam day). They can choose an exam date when they are 100% ready for it.
  • Another factor that makes NMAT by GMAC stands apart from other management entrance exams is that it allows the candidate to revise the answers which reduces the possibility of errors.
  • Plus, in NMAT by GMAC, there’s no provision of negative marking which gives the candidate the confidence to make an informed guess in case of questions they don’t know definite answers to.

NMAT by GMAC offers re-tests:

The candidates are allowed three re-tests. If a student is not satisfied with his/her performance, then they have the option of taking the test again after a gap of 15 days.

NMAT by GMAC provides comprehensive prep tests:

NMAT by GMAC is the only management exam in India that provides test prep material to its candidates in the form of offline guide and online practice questions.

  • The NMAT by GMAC online prep tool consists of 1 free exam comprising of 120 past NMAT by GMAC questions and 2 paid exams comprising of 2 exams of 120 questions each. The paid exam pack includes the answer explanations and scoring.
  • The Official NMAT by GMAC guide has 4 full length 120-question sets of past NMAT by GMAC exams for candidates to do practice. The guide has additional 550 questions.
  • In total, GMAC provides 7 full length tests. 4 in the NMAT by GMAC Guide and 3 in the online practice exams which contain about 1390 questions for the candidates to practice.
  • 120 questions in each of the seven full tests (120*7 = 840 questions) and additional 550 questions for practice. So in total candidates have a choice of doing the prep with 840+550 = 1390 questions.

The biggest advantage of NMAT by GMAC test prep material is that, since the NMAT by GMAC exam never unpredictable in terms of pattern or difficulty level, these 1390 practice questions help the aspirants in familiarizing themselves with the real test environment.

NMAT by GMAC is phone friendly:

Last but not the least, NMAT by GMAC is not only candidate friendly but also phone friendly. Yes, from submitting the application form to payment of fee, the candidates can do it all through their phone NMAT by GMAC mobile. In order to make it more convenient for the candidates, NMAT by GMAC has added 12 mobile wallets for payment of fees.

Yes. GMAC issues a separate NMAT admit card for reattempts. Candidates are issued NMAT admit card inside the same login dashboard. The timeline for issuance of NMAT admit card remains the same.
