NEET 2020 admit card released

NEET 2021 admit card has been released by National Testing Agency (NTA) for the second time on January 6 for qualifying candidates who are eligible to participate in the NEET 2021 counselling rounds. Those who have misplaced their NEET admit card 2021 can download it once again by visiting the NEET 2021 website and download it by logging in with their application credentials. Originally, NTA had released the NEET 2021 admit card on September 6, a week before the exam which was scheduled on September 12.

The NTA releases the NEET admit card or hall ticket online in PDF download format. Candidates need to click on the NEET admit card download link to download the PDF. Students must download the NEET hall ticket, save it and take its printout.

Candidates need to download the NEET admit card online from the exam website. The details required to get and download NEET exam admit card are shared below-

  • Application number.
  • Date of Birth.
  • Security Code.
Q:   Should the NEET admit card printout be coloured or black and white?
A:

Candidates are advised to take a coloured printout of the NEET admit card. However, it is not compulsory. NTA does not state any guideline regarding this. They should carry two to three spare copies of the NEET admit card for future use. However, in case a candidate does not have access to a coloured printer, s/he can take a black and white printout of the NEET admit card as well, but the details such as photograph and text should be clearly visible. Test takers have to paste their photograph in the space provided and should not have signed on it. The Self Declaration Undertaking has to be filled up prior to the exam day.

How to Download NEET 2021 Admit Card

Candidates who have misplaced their NEET 2021 admit card and wish to download the document again should follow the steps given below:

Candidates have to download the NEET admit card 2021 in PDF format and preserve it till the counselling process is completed. NEET 2021 was conducted on September 12. The NEET result was declared on November 1, 2021.

The admit card of NEET 2021 contains all the information that a candidate needs to know on the exam day. Details related to the allocated exam centre are also be given on the admit card of NEET 2021. The admit card of NEET 2021 will act as an identity proof of the candidate on the day of the examination and during the counselling process. During both these events, the authorities will verify the details printed on the NEET admit card 2021. The details printed on the admit card of NEET 2021 will be matched with those on the official ID of candidate (Aadhaar card/PAN card/voter ID/ passport/driving license). If the details do not match, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the examination/counselling.

Q:   What is the process to download NEET OMR sheets?

Along with the provisional NEET answer keys, NTA releases the NEET OMR sheets of the test takers. Candidates could download those from the official website of NEET. Candidates had to follow the steps given below to download the NEET OMR sheet:

  1. Visit the official website of NEET, which is neet.nta.nic.in
  2. Click on the link indicating NEET OMR sheet download
  3. Enter the login credentials
  4. Click on ‘OMR Challenge’ tab
  5. Click on ‘Click here to view your OMR Answer Sheet’
  6. Check the scanned image of the answer sheet uploaded by NTA
  7. Download and save the NEET OMR sheet for future reference

After downloading the NEET OMR sheets, candidates must check carefully whether it is in the same condition as the one they had submitted. In case there is any discrepancy, they can submit challenges or objections. In case there is no discrepancy, they can calculate their estimated scores by tallying their responses with the NEET provisional answer keys.

Q:   I have signed on the NEET admit card by mistake. What should I do now?
A:

Candidates have to sign on the NEET admit card in presence of the invigilator. This acts as a proof of attendance for the exam day. In case a candidate signs it before that, he/she should discard the document and take a fresh print out and follow the instructions carefully. If a candidate realises this after reaching the exam centre, then they must notify the exam centre authorities and seek for their approval to allow them to appear for the exam. Otherwise, they should take a printout of the NEET admit card from the exam centre or from the vicinity.

What Should You Do if There is Any Discrepancy in the Details Printed on the NEET 2021 Admit Card?

If there is any discrepancy in the details printed on the admit card of NEET 2021 the candidate must contact the officials at NTA immediately and get it rectified. However, candidates must note that if they had filled incorrect details in the application form of NEET 2021, and the errors on the admit card only reflect the mistakes made in the application form, the officials at NTA may refuse to make such corrections.

Instructions that Need to be Followed After Downloading the NEET Admit Card 2021

  • There are three things that candidates must do after they download their NEET 2021 admit card. First, they must take a coloured printout of the NEET admit card 2021. Candidates must note that a black and white printout of the NEET hall ticket will not be acceptable.
  • Next, they must paste a recent passport size photograph in the space provided. This photograph must be same as the one uploaded with the NEET 2021 application form.
  • Last, it is mandatory to get the admit card of NEET 2021 signed by a parent or guardian. A candidate who fails to get the admit card signed will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.

Exam Day Instructions for NEET 2021: COVID-19 Guidelines

NEET 2021 admit card comes along with a set of guidelines that have been prescribed keeping in mind the safety of the candidates on the exam day. Apart from a few general guidelines that need to be followed, such as wearing masks, frequent handwashing/sanitising and social distancing, NTA had released a list of dos and don'ts for the NEET 2021 exam day.
