The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences will soon release the NEET PG information bulletin and notify the registration and application dates. The NEET PG 2026 exam will be conducted on August 30.

A separate exam is conducted for admission at these institutes, i.e INI CET. The exam is conducted twice in a year in computer-based mode.

Yes. Choices for NEET PG counselling have to be locked in the given deadline. If a candidate doesn't lock the choice of college and course, it gets automatically locked after the deadline. Based on declared choices, availablity of seats, reservation factor, seats will be allotted. NEET PG 2025 counselling is yet to begin. MCC will announce the schedule soon.

Students have to prepare all those subjects which were taught in MBBS for NEET PG exam. NEET PG syllabus basically comprises clinical, para clinical and pre clinical subjects. Aspirants must prepare all these subjcets to score good rank in exam.

The total duration of NEET PG exam is 3.5 hours or 210 minutes. In 2024, NBE introduced time bound section in NEET PG exam. This means candidates will have specific time to solve specific number of questions. Whole question paper is divided into 5 sections (A to E) with 40 questions each. Candidates get 42 minutes to solve each section. It must be noted candidates can't answer questions of any section till he/she exahusts allotted time (42 minutes) of previous section. 

NEET PG pattern comprises details about exam mode, medium, total number of questions, allotted time, and marking scheme. NBE conducts NEET PG exam in computer-based mode. medium of exam is English only. Candidates don't have option to select any other language in NEET PG exam.

A total of 200 multiple choice questions are asked and candidates get 3.5 hours to answer them. According to marking scheme, for every right answer, 4 marks are awarded while for wrong response -1 mark is deducted. No mark will be awarded/deduced for unanswered question.

No. Candidates can't carry prohibited items including notepad, pen, pencil etc. inside examination hall at NEET PG centre. Similarly, eatables, ornaments, electronic items are not allowed. Candidates are advised not to carry these items at centre. Check the list of prohibited items given below:

Candidates will have to download NEET PG 2026 scorecard for 50% AIQ seats from the official website. They have to provide login details to download the scorecard. Only those qualify exam by scoring the minimum cut off could download individual scorecard. 

NEET PG counselling is conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The counselling is held online for seat allotment. It must be noted online registration and choice declaration is mandatory to participate in the counselling process. NEET PG cut off depends upon a number of factors including total number of candidates who appeared in NEET PG exam, number of seats available, difficulty level of examination, and previous years’ cutoffs. Students have to score minimum cut off to qualify for NEET PG exam. Cut off is released along with NEET PG result.
