BPlan or Bachelor of Planning course is four years four-year full-time degree in planning for candidates who plan to pursue a career as a planning professional. Yes, there are multiple specializations in an Architecture and Planning course. The specializations are not taught at UG level. An Undergraduate degree is mainly a foundational course. But at PG Level, students get to choose a specialisation like Sustainable Design, Urban Planning, Interior Architecture, and Landscape Architecture.

Yes, Diploma holders can apply for Architecture and Planning courses. If you finished a Diploma after class 12th, then you can apply to a UG Architecture and Planning course. There is a stipulation that a candidate should have had maths as a core subject to be eligible. If you have a bachelor's degree and a diploma, then you can apply for a PG course in Architecture and Planning. Entrance exams like CUET, CUET PG, JEE Mains and GATE are compulsory for admission. After your 12th, you can go for B.Arch. Eligibility for B.Arch in most of the top universities is pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English and Maths) or Diploma (any stream) (3 years) recognised by Central/ State government. (with Mathematics), subject to qualifying marks as per NATA or qualifying marks in any specially designed aptitude test in Architecture conducted by the competent authority of the Central/ State Governments (as/ if allowed by statutory body for 2018-19), e.g. JEE (Main) Paper II.

In order to get admission to top M Arch Interior Design colleges in India, the entry requirements are best:

• Candidates need to have completed their Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% of marks in their final exam.
• Candidates must have appeared and scored at least 50% in their entrance exam are required for admission to this course.
• Students who have given entrance exams such as the General aptitude test in engineering (GATE) and common entrance exam for design (CEED). Some universities conduct their unique entrance exams which are mandatory for students who are aspiring to get admission. Students should have a good level of knowledge and understanding in reasoning, numerical, and design and aptitude skills in order to get admission to this course.
• Some Institutes require an aptitude test and an Interview for admission into the Master's Degree in Architecture.

Personally, I don't think they can be compared. Both have different aspects. JEE BARCH It includes engineering level maths. You'd prepare for it the same way you'd do for paper 1 maths. The aptitude section is very easy. Gk and logic questions are easy to crack. The drawing section isn't very demanding and is just a basic approach. It is 3 hours paper. ( maths and aptitude. +Drawing paper) NATA It includes general maths. The one you studied in 9th-10th std. Hardly 2-3 questions are expected. (Included in the online test among the 40 questions) It has a drawing paper which requires you to analyse views (like bird's eye view, ant's eye view etc) ,It is tougher than JEE drawing paper. Next is an online test which consists of 40 questions related to architectural awareness, analytical problems, aesthetic sensitivity and visualization. The questions asked here are tougher than JEE aptitude section. You get 3 hours. 50 mins for online test and rest for drawing test. So JEE has tough maths. And NATA has tough online test. Yes, students applying to Architecture courses have to give a mandatory drawing exam. NATA and JEE Mains Paper 2 both have a drawing section during the exam. The drawing test happens using paper and pencil whereas the rest of the test is online.

Candidates need to understand that sometimes failure is an option they didn't see coming, and therefore also apply to other colleges, keeping a backup plan. Other mistakes include: not checking the required subjects, missing out on events/guidelines, and not examining eligibility criteria thoroughly.
