Karnataka Board is reconsidering its decision on the 10th and 12th exams and evaluating various options.
The Karnataka Board is expected to take a final decision on Karnataka SSLC and Karnataka 2nd PUC examinations 2021 today, June 3. The announcement is likely to be followed soon after. The state government is reconsidering its decision on 10th 12th exams and evaluating various options and suggestion, as per reports. The state government has been firm so far that they want to hold Karnataka SSLC, PUC Exams 2021. Over 14 lakh students have registered for Karnataka SSLC, PUC Board Exams 2021.
On June 1, 2021, the state Education Minister, S Suresh Kumar, said that the decision on Karnataka SSLC, PUC Board Exams 2021 will be announced soon. He further said that in the light of current development, a decision would be taken keeping in mind the students' health and future.
Reportedly, the government is mulling the possibility of conducting the examination on a single day in July-end or August, if COVID-19 caseload declines by then.
If this tentative proposal goes through, examinations for Karnataka SSLC and Karnataka 2nd PUC will be in the multiple-choice questions (MCQ) format. This option was discussed on Wednesday during a meeting with Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, as per reports.
The Karnataka SSLC exams 2021 were scheduled to be conducted from June 21 to July 5, 2021, while the 2nd PUC exams were scheduled to be held between May 24 and June 16, 2021.
