Q:   What is the fee structure for MTech in IIT Bhubaneswar?

The tuition fee for a two-year MTech range between INR 20,000. Apart from this, the total fee includes components such as hotel fee (if applicable), caution deposit, and other amounts to be paid at the time of admission of INR 1.08 lakh. Very unique course and worthy in IIT Bhubaneswar.
Placements: The student can sit in placement in the last year of the course. Campus hiring is really good, with companies like Google, Accenture, Oracle, and Rippling also coming to the campus and offering good packages to students. Recently, Oracle offered 64 LPA packages, and the average package is around 12 LPA to 15 LPA. The internship opportunities are really good and join an internship in the third year of your course. Many companies are invited to the campus for hiring interns. Recently, companies like Google, Nvidia, and Rippling came to campus and provided up to Rs. 1,00,000 per month stipend.
Infrastructure: There is a good library maintaining most of the books that are required throughout the course, and a lot of general books. The library keeps updating itself frequently. The classrooms are very good and equipped with modern technology like smart boards, projectors, and the laboratories are equipped with fully functional equipment. All the students must reside within the IIT campus. The room is a single accommodation, and for students opting for post-graduation, there are Sangam hostels where they can stay with their spouse.
Faculty: The curriculum is really good and teachers basic aspects of civil engineering. The contact hours are well distributed, so the pressure of studies is not too much. The exams are twice a semester, and the difficulty level is moderate to high. The faculty student ratio is really good and since the appointment of the new director, it has been increasing, and more and more faculty are being hired. All faculty are highly qualified, some of them are from IIT, and others are from foreign institutes.

A dream college to explore.
Placements: IITs offer a very good package actually. Being a second generation IIT, our college is growing day by day. Our professors are working very hard to improve the placement activities. Although it is not that much bad. The average package in our college is more than 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: My campus life at IIT Bhubaneswar is going very well. We have a very good infrastructure. Classrooms have centralized AC, and we get single-occupancy rooms in the hostel. Apart from all the things, the hostel facility is little bit not good on our campus. The mess caterers are good enough. They provide us different kinds of foods everyday but few times we encounter insects and caterpillars in our mess food. Library is good, and it is always open.
Faculty: The curriculum needs to change so that I can take my interested course. It is all taken care of by institutions. In IITs, classes will be very less and they should be on their own most of the basics. More examples should be provided and lab equipment should be improved. Faculty members are good. They are highly educated and experienced. They all have done their masters and Ph.D.

It is a very good college where dreams start.
Placements: From seventh semester, students are eligible to sit for placements. Companies are brought by Career Development Cell of IIT Bhubaneswar. More than 100 companies from different domains visit every year. Few of these are Google, Nvidia, Samsung, Zomato, Accenture Japan, PSU, etc. From fourth semester, we become eligible to sit for internships. Similar to placements, many companies from different domains visit every year offering stipend upto 1.5 lakhs per month. Few students from here are also selected for PPO.
Infrastructure: Everyone gets single room accommodation with 24X7 Wi-Fi and ethernet facilities. Hostel condition is good, better than most IITs. Caterer is changed every 2 years to ensure quality food. Menu includes a variety of dishes both South and North Indian. Lab and college facilities are good with advanced equipment and software required for learning. The library is good, and all types of books are available. We also have access to the library. There are different grounds for different sports.
Faculty: The courses are comprehensive and give a good idea of the field of study. Few professors might not conduct class tests or surprise tests, which might completely depend on the faculty. By the end of a course, we would know its real-life application and scope. All the faculty members have done post-doctorate, and are well-versed in their respective courses. They can be easily approached for any clarification regarding both academic and career-related queries. Each semester has a mid-semester and an end-semester. The curriculum is similar to other IITs and follows MIT's exam pattern.

Review of IIT Bhubaneswar - Indian Institute of Technology.
Placements: The college has a tremendous placement record. The college placement committee is very supportive. They are aware of their responsibilities as they guide us and help us throughout the placement drive of the college. The college has a 100% placement record. The highest package for our batch goes up to around 45 LPA, and the average package is 20 LPA. A few of students receive pre-placement offers during the internship programme. Companies like Goldman Sachs, Arcesium, L&T, Analog Devices, Texas Instruments, Amazon, Barclays, Deloitte, Jaguar Land Rover, JIO, Tata Digital, Quantile Analytics, Microsoft, Google visit our campus.
Infrastructure: Hostel facility is available at an affordable price, with students required to do registration first for the hostel and PG. There is a 24-hour water supply. Rooms are available for sharing as well as separate.
Faculty: All faculty members are India's best scientists. They not only teach us the subject, but also train us to think more about our subjects. We have to take some projects. In those projects, teachers teach us to innovate. They are well-disciplined and punctual. Good guidance is offered, and the caring nature of faculty helps one to move forward easily. We have 3 internal exams and one University exam. Internal exams have 2 cycle tests, which constitute 10 internal marks each, and the model exam carries 20 internal marks. Then 5 marks for assignments and 5 marks for attendance of particular subjects. The course curriculum is very good and updated. It is highly competitive, and analytical and reasoning-based studies support the betterment of students. Some teachers are a gem to learn from, but most teachers lack proper knowledge of the subject. Most students rely on self-study. The curriculum is up to the mark and follows modern norms.

Everything about IIT Bhubaneswar.
Placements: For my course, roles offered are graduate engineer trainee (GET), AI/ML, data science, data analytics, consulting, software engineering, etc. The highest package is 56 CTC, and the least is 6.5 CTC. In my course, less than 30% of students got internships, and some of them got off campus. But the placement percentage is around 70 percent.
Infrastructure: There is 24X7 medical facility inside the college. Food items in the mess are not too bad but some of them are really good. Library is open till 12 midnight. The classrooms are too good with the AC and Wi-Fi inside the classes. Labs contain more types of equipment with more diverse projects.
Faculty: Till now, the old timetable has been followed. But from the coming academic year, a new timetable will start. Mechanical curriculum is a little bit hectic but the CSE curriculum is simple. Faculty members are too experienced, and many of the students are working on projects with their guidance.

Life and culture at IIT Bhubaneswar.
Placements: Till now, in my course about 75 percent of students are placed. My course is mechanical engineering. BPCL, HPCL, and BEL are the PSUs that come for the placements. Recruiting companies are Tata Steel, Reliance, ZS Associate, Zomato, Flipkart, and Media. There are companies that offer different roles with a package between 10 CTC to 56 CTC.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is so nice, and the college look greenery. Hostel rooms are so clean, and one student per room. Every floor or room will have a Wi-Fi or LAN network. There is a night canteen as well for every hostel which will work from evening till 2:00 AM.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are very helpful, but all the faculty members are too qualified. For our batch, in my second and third year time-table schedule is too hectic. There are more exams as well. Some of the exams are tough and require more preparation.

Q:   Does IIT Bhubaneswar conduct interviews for admission in MTech?

For M.Tech at IIT Bhubaneswar, admission offers for GATE-qualified candidates are uploaded on the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP). Thus, candidates must register at the COAP portal to view and accept their offers. Candidates can register on the COAP portal is free of cost. Q:   How to apply for M.Tech at IIT Bhubaneswar?

 Interested students need to first check the eligible criteria for GATE exam. The technology institute shortlist candidates based on GATE entrance scores. The permanent campus of IIT Bhubaneswar is spread over 936 acres of land. IIT Bhubaneswar has academic areas, residential areas, and areas for training centres and research parks. The Central Library has access to over 8,500 full-text electronic journals through 45+ full-text e-resources, over a million full-text dissertations, and 4 bibliographic databases from a number of publishers and aggregators. The institute currently has housing facilities for 500 students and 40 faculty and staff families. Additional student housing for about 200 students is being sourced. The institute has a well-equipped, air-conditioned 300-seat central auditorium that routinely hosts workshops, institute lectures, conferences, and events. The institute has a central computer facility with 60 desktops with the latest OS, software, and learning tools and high-speed broadband internet connectivity. The institute is well-equipped with modern classrooms for teaching and laboratories for both teaching and research. All the classrooms are equipped with multimedia projectors and wireless internet connectivity.

There are four hostels for the students of IIT Bhubaneswar. They are:

The hostel fee at IIT Bhubaneswar is INR 99,892 for the general category. There are four halls of residence, one for girls and three for boys. These halls of residence together can house about 2000 students. All these hostels have dining facilities for all residents, providing four meals a day (breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner). In addition to that, canteens and cafeterias are inside the hostel or at different places within the campus. A number of recreational, sports, literary, and social activities take place in the hostel during the academic year.
