B.Sc. in Physical Science (Chemistry) - Batch of 2026
Offered by Dyal Singh College, University of Delhi
3.2
3Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Good campus, good faculty, but the principal VK Palliwal creates a sometimes hostile environment.
Placements: The placements are not on par with other departments. Only about 10 to 20% of students get placed, with packages up to 3 LPA. Majorly, accounting companies come for placement, and only 1% of students get internships. Top roles are an assistant in a chemistry lab, so it's not very good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent, with good sports and NCC facilities. Well-maintained labs are available. There is no Wi-Fi around the campus, but the library is good and the biggest in all of DU. The mess is good. There are no hostels, but accommodation is available nearby. The ambience is good.
Faculty: Teachers generally explain concepts clearly and make lectures easier to understand, even for weak students. Faculty members are usually supportive and open to doubts. Dyal Singh provides a nice academic structure with good faculty and a good examination system. With hard work and consistency, students can have a productive and academically good experience at the college.
Other: Dyal Singh College has a very fun and chill environment. As far as the BSc Physical Science department is concerned, it is a relatively new department.

A nice hill college with no attendance issues. Poor infrastructure, but crowd & diversity are nice.
Placements: Based on current records, around 30–60% students get placed in my course. The highest package is around 30–34 LPA. The average package is around 4–6 LPA. Some of the top recruiters are KPMG, Deloitte, and PwC. Internship opportunities are offered by Amazon, Decathlon, Swiggy, etc., to a good percentage of students. The top roles offered in my course are Finance Executive, Sales and Marketing Associate, HR Recruiter, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities are average. The library Wi-Fi does not work at all. The infrastructure is poor. Classes are ugly, like most DU colleges, and have no AC, but the outside campus is decent with greenery. There are no hostels in this college. The canteen is decent and has a nice variety of food. Sports facilities are average.
Faculty: Teachers are average. Teaching quality is average. The course feels outdated and does not make a student industry-ready. Extra skills are required. Passing is not that hard in semester exams. It is like other DU colleges, and students need around 40% marks in both internals and practicals.
Other: I chose this course because it is the best one available in the commerce field at Delhi University.

B.A. (Hons.) in Sociology - Batch of 2028
Offered by Jesus and Mary College ,University of Delhi
4.2

Review of Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi.
Placements: Placements in Sociology are very low, as only 20–25% of students get placed, if I take the data from the last 2 years. The average placement figure is around 2 LPA, and the highest for Sociology is around 6 LPA. Students of our course are recruited by HR consultancies, Ed-tech companies, and some students in NGOs and research organizations.
Infrastructure: In our college, every classroom has projectors, smart boards, and ACs. Our campus is fully Wi-Fi, and connection across the campus is available without any interruption. For the Psychology department, there is a small lab. But for Sociology, there are no labs. There are multiple computer labs. Unfortunately, no hostel facility is provided by our college.
Faculty: Teachers are skilled and qualified, but the best thing is that all our course faculty members are understanding and helpful. Our faculty members innovate a lot to make studies fun for students. Our semester exams are not that tough. Students who attend classes regularly score 8–9 CGPA, but the average stands at 6–7 CGPA for our department at JMC.
Other: I recommend our college for all students who want to study Sociology, as it is worth the money. Facilities and opportunities provided here are good enough for anyone to succeed. The only recommendation from my end is that the Sociology department should have more practical exposure. A bit of support is required from our college to provide better internships and placement opportunities.

Certificate in Japanese - Batch of 2026
Offered by Hansraj College, University of Delhi

3Placements5Infrastructure3Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Good learning experience, but poor communication and a lack of clear exam-related information.
Placements: In terms of placements, the Japanese Certificate course at Hansraj College is quite average and is not something to rely on for job opportunities. There is no real support for certificate students. Most outcomes depend on individual effort rather than institutional help. Certificate students are also not respected in the same way as regular students. Only a small percentage of students convert this course into internships or jobs. It usually through external language institutes or self-applied positions.
Infrastructure: Hansraj College's infrastructure is quite good. Classrooms have adequate seating and ventilation. They are tidy and good enough. The library is useful for self-study sessions. It is well-stocked. Basic facilities and common areas are adequate. They are helpful for daily college activities.
Faculty: Instructors for the Japanese Certificate course are helpful and knowledgeable. Particularly, Magdha ma’am explains concepts in detail. At an introductory level, the curriculum is straightforward and well organized. Although the pace sometimes feels slightly rushed. Exams are fair and mainly focus on the taught concepts.
Other: Most students in the Japanese Certificate course batch come from various academic backgrounds. The course demands consistent practice. It is suitable for beginners. To get the most out of the program, consistency is crucial, as attendance and internal evaluation are not taken very seriously.

Offered by Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, University of Delhi

5Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
An excellent college for science, commerce, and arts streams with good infrastructure and faculty.
Placements: Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, Wipro, Accenture, Genpact, Concentrix, Decathlon, Indigo Airlines, Zomato, Amazon, and TresVista hire English (Hons.) students. Roles like content writing, corporate communications, social media management, HR, and business development are the main focus. The average package offered in this course ranges between 5-6 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is so nice and well-maintained. Especially, the library is so clean. But one problem is that the college does not have any hostel facility like most of the DU colleges. Mess is inside the college and the cafeteria. All sports in which we are interested are available in the college. Overall, the college is excellent. It got the 5th NIRF ranking all over India.
Faculty: Professors are highly educated, very cooperative, and helpful. We can discuss anything with them. Every student in this course is very intelligent and well-experienced in society. Semester exams are not very difficult. If we study well, we will score well. The passing marks for all courses are 40 percent for the theory and practical.
Other: My course B.A. English (Hons.) provides students with a platform where they can improve their communication skills and content writing skills, journalism, and PR work, so I chose it. Everyone in this college is of a helpful nature. The campus crowd is so nice. It will give us a big exposure. A fest named Tide is held every year on the college campus during February and March.

The college has really good crowd and nice environment.
Placements: Almost 70% of our batch gets placed during the 5th semester itself. The highest package is 18 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA. Top recruiters include Deloitte, EY, KPMG, and many more. The roles offered are mainly in audit and management trainee positions. The lowest package can be as low as 2.8 LPA, which seems quite low compared to others.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is relatively small and older compared to other colleges in the university. We have labs, a library, a cafeteria, a garden, and a playground. Hostels are not available, but there is a canteen, a Nescafé outlet, and medical facilities for emergencies.
Faculty: Teachers are very nice and helpful toward students. They are qualified and experienced. The course curriculum is relevant and prepares students for industry work. Semester exams are not that difficult, and most students pass unless there is an unusual case.
Other: B. Com (Hons) students receive many placement opportunities. As the course is highly relevant. Campus life is vibrant. Along with fests, events, and sports activities throughout the year. The college also provides scholarships for underprivileged students.
