DU Admission 2025-26: Veer Savarkar College to Begin Enrollment from Upcoming Academic Session

Delhi University (DU) will commence the admission process to Veer Savarkar College in Najafgarh this academic year, representing an important development in the university's extension after almost thirty years. Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh announced the news at DU's 92nd annual court meeting, according to an official statement from the university.
In addition to Veer Savarkar College, the development of two new campuses is underway i.e. the East Campus in Surajmal Vihar and the West Campus in Dwarka Sector 22.
Veer Savarkar College Facilities
The college includes twenty-four classrooms, eight tutorial rooms, forty faculty rooms, departmental libraries, conference spaces, and a canteen. Built with an estimated cost of INR 140 crore, the campus area is spread across 18,816.56 square metres, as reported by Indian Express. The newly established college is part of DU's overall expansion plans to cater to the growing demand for higher education in Delhi.
DU to Introduce New Programmes
DU will also be offering various new academic programs, such as MTech in Computer Science, DM in Geriatric Mental Health, BA (Hons) in Russian, DM in Pulmonary Medicine, and MSc in Psychiatry (Mental Health).
These programs seek to address areas in technology, healthcare, and mental health, reflecting DU's dedication to extending academic horizons and providing students with skills applicable to developing fields. This expansion is part of DU's strategy to strengthen its standing as a leading institution of higher education.
