NEET UG 2025 Exam: NTA Launches Platform to Report Suspicious Claims Amid Ongoing Preparations

With the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2025 just around the corner, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced a dedicated platform for candidates to report suspicious claims, aiming to ensure a fair and transparent examination process.

The NEET UG 2025 Exam is scheduled to take place on May 4, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM IST in a single shift. The exam will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode across 552 cities in India and 14 cities abroad, featuring 180 mandatory multiple-choice questions in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Returning to its pre-COVID format, the exam eliminates optional questions, increasing the stakes for aspirants aiming for MBBS, BDS, and other medical courses.

NEET UG 2025 city intimation slip

In the lead-up to the exam, the NTA has already released the NEET UG 2025 city intimation slip on April 23, 2025, earlier than the anticipated date of April 26. Available on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in, the slip informs candidates of their allotted exam city, helping them arrange travel and accommodations. Candidates can download it using their application number and date of birth, though the exact exam center details will be revealed in the admit card. With over 23 lakh candidates registered—a slight rise from the 22.9 lakh in 2024—this update has been crucial for logistical planning.

The NEET UG 2025 admit card is expected to be released by May 1, 2025, a few days before the exam. Candidates will need to download it from neet.nta.nic.in using their application number and date of birth. The admit card will contain vital information, including the candidate’s name, roll number, exam center address, and exam day instructions. On the day of the exam, students must carry a printed copy of the admit card, a valid photo ID (such as an Aadhaar card, PAN card, or passport), and a passport-sized photograph matching the one uploaded during registration.

The NTA’s latest initiative to launch a reporting platform comes in response to past controversies, notably the NEET UG 2024 paper leak scandal that led to widespread protests and legal scrutiny. In July 2024, the Supreme Court upheld the 2024 exam’s integrity but mandated the NTA to bolster transparency and security, likely prompting this new measure.
