NPU is planning an internal restructuring to consolidate its postgraduate programs.
Nilamber Pitamber University (NPU) has announced that it will not offer postgraduate admissions for the academic year 2025–26 through CUET PG or any other route. This decision stems from significant delays in the publication of undergraduate final-year results for the 2021–24 batch.
Undergraduate exams were concluded only recently, and final-year results are not expected until August 2025. This delay has disrupted the usual admission calendar, preventing the university from commencing PG admissions on time. As a result, students from this cohort will be unable to pursue master's level programs at NPU this academic year.
The university administration acknowledged the disruption and emphasized that even with expedited evaluation processes, it would not be possible to begin the postgraduate admission process without finalized undergraduate results.
In addition, NPU is planning an internal restructuring to consolidate its postgraduate programs. Departments from one of its affiliated colleges, which currently face severe faculty shortages, are likely to be merged into the main university’s PG departments. This restructuring aims to improve academic delivery and optimize existing resources.
Students are advised to explore alternative institutions for postgraduate studies in the current year. NPU is expected to resume its admissions in the next cycle once the academic calendar is back on track.
