IBPS PO prelims exam comprises 100-objective type multiple choice questions from Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, and English Language. Total marks allotted to the paper are 100. The mains exam comprises both objective and subjective type questions. The objective types of questions are asked from Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, English Language, and Data Analysis & Interpretation. The descriptive section carries questions from English Language (Letter Writing and Essay). Total marks allotted to the test are 225. You need to focus on clearing your concepts. Reasoning Ability

Topics you need to focus on are Puzzles, Seating Arrangement, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relation, etc. You need to practice Reasoning Ability topics by solving previous years’ papers and mock tests.

Quantitative Aptitude

You need to focus revision of the topics such as Sequence & series, Data Interpretation, Number System, Ratio and Proportion, Quadratic Equations, Percentage & Average and Simplification. Computer Awareness

You will get very basic level questions in Computer Awareness. General Awareness

Prepare topics such as marketing, Indian Economy Questions, Awards & Honors Sports, Agriculture, Finance, History of Banking, RBI Functions, Banking Terms and Fiscal Monetary Policies.

English Language

Questions in this section are asked from Comprehension Passage, Fill in the Blanks, Phrase & idioms, Prepositions, Spotting Error Questions and Sentence Improvement. Read the editorial section of the newspaper daily to increase your vocabulary skills.
