How to prepare for IBPS PO 2021 in 2 months? -Section-Wise Tips

IBPS PO prelims exam comprises 100-objective type multiple choice questions from Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, and English Language. Total marks allotted to the paper are 100. The mains exam comprises both objective and subjective type questions. The objective types of questions are asked from Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, English Language, and Data Analysis & Interpretation. The descriptive section carries questions from English Language (Letter Writing and Essay). Total marks allotted to the test are 225. You need to focus on clearing your concepts. This way you will be able to solve any sort of questions easily. Given below is the section-wise tips to crack IBPS PO exam in 2 months. 

Reasoning Ability

Topics you need to focus on are Puzzles, Seating Arrangement, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relation, etc. You need to practice Reasoning Ability topics by solving previous years’ papers and mock tests.

Quantitative Aptitude

You need to focus revision of the topics such as Sequence & series, Data Interpretation, Number System, Ratio and Proportion, Quadratic Equations, Percentage & Average and Simplification. Maximum questions in the exam are asked from these topics. You need to learn the shortcut method of solving questions in this section.

Computer Awareness

You will get very basic level questions in Computer Awareness. You can focus on topics such as Basics of Computers, Network Basics (WAN & LAN), Basic Internet knowledge and protocols, Input & output devices, Generations of the computer, Computer shortcuts and Shortcuts & Basic Knowledge of MS Word/ MS PowerPoint/ MS Excel.

General Awareness

You need to focus on the Current Affairs of last six months. The best way to prepare this is section is by reading newspapers and watching news channels. Prepare topics such as marketing, Indian Economy Questions, Awards & Honors Sports, Agriculture, Finance, History of Banking, RBI Functions, Banking Terms and Fiscal Monetary Policies.

English Language

Questions in this section are asked from Comprehension Passage, Fill in the Blanks, Phrase & idioms, Prepositions, Spotting Error Questions and Sentence Improvement. Read the editorial section of the newspaper daily to increase your vocabulary skills.
