NDA 2 exam analysis 2025

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is conducting NDA 2 2025 exam. NDA 2 shift timings are 10 AM to 12.30 PM and 2.00 PM to 4.30 PM. According to students, the difficulty level of the Maths paper was moderate. Questions were asked from Algebra, Calculus, Matrices and Determinants, Integral Calculus and Differential Equations, Trigonometry, Vector Algebra, Analytical Geometry Of Two and Three Dimension and Statistics and Probability. Maximum questions in Maths were asked from Probability. NDA 2 Maths question paper for Set C is made available on this page. NDA 2 answer key for Maths is also available now.

Q:   How to prepare for NDA exam in three months?
A:

Candidates must prepare a proper study plan for NDA exam. Besides, they must solve previous years question papers. Attempt mock tests to know the strong and weak areas.To crack the exam, the preparation should be good.

 
Q:   How can I improve my Vocabulary for NDA exam?
A:
Candidates can improve their vocabulary for the NDA exam by reading newspapers. They should also practice the previous years papers. Reading editorials of the newspapers is also very useful. Attempt mock tests to know the important vocabulary questions.
Q:   How do you know your NDA exam centres?
A:

UPSC releases the list of test cities along with the notification. Candidates are required to choose one test city as per their preferences while filling the application form. One test city can have multiple exam centres. The details regarding the NDA exam centres are mentioned on the admit card. Candidates need to appear for the exam at the allotted test centre or else their answer scripts are not evaluated. While appearing for the exam, candidates need to carry the printed copy of their admit cards along with one photo-identity proof to the allotted NDA exam centre.

Shiksha reported live from one of the NDA exam centres to gather the feedback of candidates regarding the difficulty level of the exam. Check below the feedback shared by students.

Sarthak Singh said, "The Maths paper carried a total of 120 questions. The difficulty level was moderate. The Calculus portion was easy whereas the Algebra questions were tough. There was no change in the exam pattern."

Dev Sharma said, "The difficulty level of the Maths paper was moderate. Questions were asked from Trigonometry, Matrices & Determinants, Calculus, etc. The questions from Calculus were tough."

Shaurya said, "The difficulty level of the paper was easy to moderate. The Algebra part of the paper was easy. The Integration & Calculus part was difficult."

NDA 2 GAT Exam Analysis 2025

Sandhya singh said, "The overall difficulty level of the GAT paper was moderate. The Geography section was bit hard."

Saurav said, "The GAT paper was moderate in terms of difficulty. The maximum questions were asked from General Studies. Current Affairs questions were based on latest events."

Vhabshya said, "The Current Affairs questions were latest. The overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate."

Q:   How many hours should be given to study for NDA?
A:
Candidates should study for two to three hours. Practice previous year question paper. Candidates must know the syllabus and exam pattern. They should prepare study routine. Candidates must also solve mock test to improve speed.
Q:   Is NCERT enough for NDA exam preparation?
A:

It is always advised to follow NCERT books for NDA exam. Candidates must refer to the high school books to clear the concepts of the topics given in the syllabus. 

Q:   Is 340 a good score in NDA?
A:

To clear the NDA exam, you generally need to score between 340 to 360 out of 900 marks. NDA cut off for written exam is calculated out of 900. NDA cut off for final selection is calculated out of 1800. NDA cut off is calculated based on difficulty level of the exam, number of test takers, number of vacancies.

NDA 2 Answer Key 2025

NDA 2 answer key for Maths and GAT has been released unofficially by the coaching institutes. Official answer keys are released after the completion of the recruitment process. Till then, candidates can use the unofficial answer keys to check the correct responses.

NDA 2 is hard in terms of difficulty level. It is conducted for candidates who have passed Class 12. The test comprises two papers. The total marks allotted are 900. Selection is done based on the written exam and SSB Interview.

NDA marks are rounded off up to two decimal digits for all stages. This done by applying the standard rounding off principle,
wherever applicable. While applying the tie-breaking principles, the rounded-off marks upto two decimal digits are considered for resolving all tie cases.

In case the aggregate final marks are equal then securing more marks in the written exam are placed in higher rank. Candidates securing more marks in Paper 2 (GAT) are placed in higher rank. Age is also given preference while resolving the ties.
