SSC CGL Job Profile 2024: The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC CGL 2024 notification on June 24. The Commission mentioned all the SSC CGL posts with its age limit and educational qualifications in the official notification. The last date to apply for the SSC CGL 2024 is July 24. The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam 2024 will be conducted online as a Computer-Based Exam (CBE) in September/October 2024.
The Commission released the advertisement online only and mentioned the name and pay level of the posts only. SSC did not mention the job profile for the posts mentioned in the notification. SSC CGL notification 2024 notified 34 posts under 5 pay levels in the official notification. These job profiles help the candidates in selecting the right post for them and fill their service preference in the CGL service option forms. The candidates can also refer to the SSC CGL salary associated with each post to decide their service preference for them.

SSC CGL Job Profiles of Important Posts
SSC CGL notification mentioned over 34 posts for which the exam will be conducted. These posts are divided by their pay level and the level of authority, such as the group of service. Each service has its job profile, though some of them are very similar. SSC CCGL job profile includes the basic working requirements of the post holder. However, there can be variations in the day-to-day working but the basic objective behind the creation is the same in a department.
The Staff Selection Commission mention the SSC CGL exam pattern in the official notification. The Commission released the official notification for the SSC CGL on June 9, 2025. As per the official notification, the Commission did not change the exam pattern and current SSC CGL Tier 1 exam will be conducted as per the existing exam pattern.

The Staff Selection Commission can change the passing marks required for clearing the SSC CGL Tier 2. The minimum passing marks for the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam vary based on categories. For the UR category, the minimum qualifying marks are 30%, for OBC/EWS it is 25%, and for all other categories, it is 20%.
