Since the IIT JAM 2024 Physics Question paper will be conducted in an online mode hence memories-based questions from the students will be updated on this page after taking inputs from there.
Applicants are advised to check the number of good attempts, exam analysis of the IIT JAM Question Paper, and the difficulty level of the exam. Since the official IIT JAM answer key will be released around 10-12 days after the exam, till then applicants are advised to check IIT JAM Physics expected cutoff in this article below.
JAM 2025 Examination for all the Test Papers will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT) where the candidates will be shown the questions in a random sequence on a computer screen.
Section - A contains a total of 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) involving 10 questions of one mark each and 20 questions of two marks each. Each MCQ has four choices out of which only one choice is the correct answer. Candidates can mark their answer by clicking one of the choices. A wrong answer will result in negative marks. For each wrong answer to 1 mark
questions, 1/3 mark will be deducted and similarly for each wrong answer to 2 marks questions, 2/3 mark will be deducted.
There will be a total of 60 questions carrying a total of 100 marks.
Section - C has total 20 Numerical Answer Type questions involving 10 questions of one mark each and 10 questions of two marks each. For NAT questions.

IIT JAM 2024 Question Paper Analysis & Expected Cut off for All Subjects
According to the students the good attempts for Physics subject in IIT JAM exam can be considered as between 35-40 questions with 90 % accuracy. The expected cutoff can be 5-7 marks less than from last year as the paper was Moderate compratively.

IIT JAM 2024 Physics Question Paper (Memory-based)
Since the IIT JAM 2024 exam will be conducted in online mode hence no Physics question paper will provided to the applicants. Students should note that the majority of the questions will be from Simple Oscillators, Bipolar Junction transistors (BJT), Kinetic theory, Waves, and Optics topics.
Every year on the rotational basis, IIT JAM exam organising institute changes. For the academic session 2025-2026 the exam conducting body is IIT Bombay. IIT JAM 2026 exam will be conducted on February 15, 2026 at 116+ exam centres across the nation. Test takers will be able to download the IIT JAM 2026 question paper.
