Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is a national-level entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency to offer admission to Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) level Programmes in Central Universities, State Universities and other participating Universities / Institutions/organisations / Autonomous Colleges. After obtaining the CUET results, candidates will be able to apply for CUET counselling for various participating universities. To apply for CUET UG counselling, candidates can follow the process below;

- Fill the CUET UG admission application form like CSAS UG for DU, BHU UET application form for BHU and so forth.

CUET UG counselling process schedule is announced by the participating universities after the declaration of CUET results. The process will be conducted separately by the universities and it will not be a centralised counselling system. The CUET 2025 counselling process will have the following stages:

Typically, CUET accepting colleges conducts three rounds of counselling, but this count can fluctuate based on the remaining vacancies after each round. CUET counseling is overseen by the NTA, and only candidates meeting the CUET cut-off criteria are deemed eligible for the examination. To be considered, candidates typically need to secure a score between 300-400 in the CUET, with a score of 500 being regarded as excellent, increasing the likelihood of admission to reputable colleges. Number of seats offered in various courses can vary across participating CUET UG universities. For instance, Delhi University provides approximately 70,000 CUET UG seats.
CUET UG counselling refers to the allocation of seats based on the scores obtained in CUET UG and cut off criteria. It involves the steps such as registration, uploading of documents, entering course preferences and colleges (if applicable). Once the CUET results are declared, universities under CUET UG begins the CUET UG counselling registration online. Candidates must ensure to stay updated with the CUET counselling dates and check the CUET cut off lists.
No, CUET UG counselling is not conducted in a centralised manner. The counselling or the admission process is conducted separately for each institute based on their own eligibility and admission criteria. Candidates who will appear for CUET 2026 will be required to check the selection criteria and other admission details of their preferred colleges individually to be able to make the correct decision. National Testing Agency (NTA) has no role in conducting counselling process for CUET UG admissions. The participating universities conduct CUET counselling on the basis of candidate's CUET score and college preferences. Jawaharlal Nehru University admission through CUET 2025: Merit List
After completing the JNU counselling application, Jawaharlal Nehru University will release a JNU admission merit list. The varsity prepares the JNU UG Merit List based on the CUET score. While preparing the merit list, JNU considers the marks secured by the candidates in CUET 2025 and reservation criteria. The varsity will release the final merit list on its official website. CUET 2025 Seat Allotment for Jawaharlal Nehru University
After releasing the final merit list, JNE will prepare the seat allotment list for admission to its UG and COP programs. Candidates will be able to download the JNU seat allotment list from the official website of JNU. Along with the seat allotment list, JNU will also release the provisional admission letter.
