On Fees and Eligibility
Q:   Can I get DTU with 80 percentile in JEE Main via JAC Delhi?
A:
Usually, the cutoff for DTU stays around 90, even for the reserved categories. Therefore, getting into B.Tech courses at DTU is difficult with a JEE Main percentile score of 90 or below. The cutoff also goes high and low every year, depending on the following factors: Number of aspirants registered, The difficulty level of the exam, Total number of seats available, total number of applications received for a particular program, and the category under which admission is sought. Therefore, it is very difficult to predict the exact cutoff and give an exact answer to this question.
Q:   Is MBA from DTU worth?
A:

In the recent 2022 MBA placements at DTU, Finance turned out to be the highest recruiting sector.  Additionally, the highest salary (domestic) offered stood at INR 19 LPA and the average salary stood at INR 8.9 LPA. Q:   Can I get into DTU without giving JEE?
A:

No, candidates cannot get admission to DTU without appearing for JEE Main as the DTU BTech counselling is done through JAC Delhi. The basic criteria for admission to BTech is appearing for JEE Mains. To get into DTU, candidates must score decent marks or at least around 220 or above marks in JEE Mains. The only way to get into DTU without appearing for JEE Main is by taking a lateral entry admission to BTech second year. In order to do this, candidates must complete a Polytechnic course of two years and then appear for an entrance exam (not JEE Main but this exam will give you entry in DTU's second year.

Satisfied and happy with the college. Really like this place.
Placements: About 50 percent of students got placed this year in CSE. The highest package is about 100 LPA, maybe. The lowest is around 6 LPA, and the average is around 16-20 LPA. Google recruits a lot from DTU. About 30-40 percent of students get internships. Most students get programming jobs.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is good enough. Sometimes, dogs walk in classes. Labs are also fine. The library is really nice. Food is spoiled sometimes, but that happens rarely. Mess hygiene is alright. Medical facilities are available, but medicine is almost never available. There are enough fests for sports.
Faculty: The teachers are mostly really good. The course curriculum is also relevant, and it prepares students well for the industry. The exams are not too hard, and one can at least pass them if they try a little bit. The pass percentage is around 30 percent, I guess.
Other: I like coding. I also had a deep interest in mathematics since I was a kid, and even engineering graphics is fun. I would say the 75 percent attendance criteria could be a bit relaxed. I have no complaints about the fests or the extracurricular activities.

B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2029

My review, I believe, is mid, not too good, not too bad.
Placements: Civil, as considered a dying branch, isn't opted for by many as the course that they would like to do. 43 percent of students got placed. The highest package is around 16 LPA, and students get placed in Metro, Ambuja, etc. Many try to explore fields that are not related to civil. So internships are fewer.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is like any other college. The hostel mess is at times seen as an unhygienic place to eat, but overall, it is good enough for one to survive. Though the infrastructure of the course is smartly designed so as to fulfill the requirements that one may have to become a master of their respective course.
Faculty: Faculty and curriculum are top-notch, designed in a way that is going to help students learn better in their respective courses and the field that they want to pursue. Although I do feel that the 75 percent attendance criteria should be relaxed a little in order to give students more time to explore other curricular activities that they find interesting. Else exams are taken in a very smooth manner.
Other: It is a government college, so the value for money is there, but the crowd isn't so appealing due to reservations, which brings, apart from sharp-minded students, people who have no interest in academics or career.

Good placements, good infrastructure, medium mess food, and good faculty.
Placements: Very good placements, if not on campus, then off-campus placement confirmed. Every branch has a variety of placements, but if we see the overall placement, it is very good here. The average package is around 15 LPA for all branches. If a student works hard enough, they can easily secure 30 LPA.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, every subject labs, a good quality library, good buildings, a beautiful park, and hostel's quality can be slightly better, but overall good facilities, would recommend to any student who gets admission here, sports are also very good here, you can play any sports you wish to play here.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and also very educated. They help us a lot during exam prep, they give us assignments, and they also give us books to study for exams. They are always on time. If all students are present, then the teacher is also there to teach them.

The college has good fest and the placements are good. The best thing is that it has too much crowd.
Placements: 82 percent of students got placed from my branch. The highest package is 64 LPA, the lowest package is 8 LPA, and the average package is 21.54 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, Apple, and Myntra. 15 percent of students got internships at Capgemini. Senior manager is the top role offered in my course.
Infrastructure: The campus doesn't have full Wi-Fi, but it has a lot of greenery, and the college is very green and clean. The staff always work to make the college clean. Hostels are average, but some hostels don't have some basic facilities. The food is also not that good, sometimes it is way too bad.
Faculty: Professors have good qualifications, and they have a helpful nature, they do their best to help students do their best. The college curriculum is good and makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams in college are very tough. The pass percentage of the semester exams is 95 percent.
Other: I chose this branch because I have an interest in the software engineering field, and I like to learn about computers. The syllabus has not changed in a long time, it should be changed and add some new things.

DTU rocks in both placement and fests.
Placements: 81.6 percent of students from the CSE branch got placed. The highest package is 82 LPA, the lowest is 8 LPA, and the average is 20 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Oracle, Google, Microsoft, etc. 20 percent of students got internships from the CSE branch in companies like Capgemini. Roles offered are senior manager, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in the library for students. There are many labs, both for core and tech, including the new AI and ML lab. AC is available in classrooms. Hostels are available both for girls and boys, and the quality of the mess food is fairly decent and hygienic compared to other colleges.
Faculty: Teachers here are Ph.D. scholars and IIT graduates. Many of the old professors are highly qualified and educated. The course curriculum is updated with the use of AI, and it is relevant to the growing industry. Semester exams are fairly moderate, and the pass percentage is 90 percent.

All facilities here are good.
Placements: The placement percentage is 7.2% as there are approximately 2,500 students in B. Tech, out of which 180 are in software courses. The highest package was 85 LPA, and the average was 20 LPA, as per 2024 data. Top recruiting companies are Google and Microsoft. Approximately 50 percent of students get internships in various companies. The top role is SDE.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not provided in the hostel or classrooms. Mess quality is not very good, especially in the first-year mess. Medical facilities are also inadequate. Sports facilities are okay, but students are not allowed to play after 11 pm as all lights in the sports complex are switched off.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful, while others are rude and do not explain things properly. Semester exams are not very difficult, but a few subjects have quite difficult exams. Passing marks are 33% in theory exams, including mid-semester and end-semester exams.

However, admission is primarily determined by your JEE Main rank rather than your grades.

You have to attend JAC Delhi counseling after JEE.

Therefore, you can get DTU CSE/IT if your JEE score is high.
