BTech at NIT Rourkela is a course of four-year duration divided into eight semesters. The institute offers BTech in 14 specialisations, such as, BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering etc. NIT Rourkela BTech admission is based on their JEE Main score. The centralised counselling process is managed and regulated by JoSAA based on which the seat allotment is carried out. NIT Rourkela BTech-MTech (Dual Degree) Admission 2025
The institute also offers a BTech-MTech (Dual Degree) programme for five years divided into ten semesters. The course is offered in four specialisations, including Chemical Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Mining Engineering.

Every year, NTA conducts the JEE Main entrance exam for the selection of eligible candidates in IIT, NIT and IIITs. Yes, NIT Rourkela campus is safe for girls and boys. The college campus is located in Odisha. It has a good connection with roads and public transports. CCTV cameras are installed in the campus to keep a check on students safety.
