What is MAT?

Management Aptitude Test or MAT exam, is one of the top MBA entrance exams besides CAT, XAT, CMAT and SNAP. It is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) four times a year i.e. February, May, September and December. Candidates planning to pursue MBA/PGDM can choose the examination phase as per their preparation and apply for the same at AIMA MAT website. MBA admission through MAT includes shortlisting of candidates bases on their MAT score, Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

MBA Colleges Accepting MAT Score: Overview

MAT exam is similar to other MBA entrance exams, i.e. it is a speed-based test. The canddidates are assessed on Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation as well as knowledge of English Language and General Awareness. Admission through MAT is also on the similar format, i.e. personality assessment (personal interview, group discussion and writren ability test). AIMA has a large number of colleges as its members who select candidates for MBA admission based on MAT score.
While filling up the MAT 2025 application form, candidates can select up to five institutes from the list of MAT participating colleges.
Upon declaration of MAT 2025 result, AIMA sends the candidate's exam score to the five institutes that the student had selected in the MAT application form.
Registered colleges shortlist the candidates based on MAT score and invite them for Group Discussion and/or Personal Interview.
Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of MAT cut offs individually fixed by the colleges to select candidates.

To get admission to Jaipuria Institute of Management, the minimum percentile to get admission has been released for CAT exam for the General All India category candidates. As per the Jaipuria Institute of Management cutoff 2024, the CAT cutoff for the General AI quota was 25 which is the lowest percentile.

Q: What is IMS Ghaziabad MBA Cut Off?

For MBA admission, the IMS Ghaziabad overall required cutoff percentile was 25 in CAT, 75 in CMAT, and 80 in MAT. This is based on the past few years' cutoff trends for the General AI category students.

Q: Does SMS Varanasi accept CUET score?

Yes, SMS Varanasi accepts CUET-UG for BCom, BBA, BCA and BA (Hons) courses. CUET-PG is accepted for MBA, MCA and MCom programmes. Besides, candidates can appear for SMSOET conducted by the institute for admission to any of the UG or PG courses. SMS Varanasi also accepts national or state-level entrance exams such as CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ MAT for MBA admission.
