Courses Offered by IITs in 2026: The Indian Institutes of Technology ( IITs) offer various programmes at the undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and doctorate (PhD) levels, majorly in the streams of Science, Engineering and Technology. The report states, "Engineering & Technology is the third major stream with 40.19 lakh students enrolled. The share of male students enrolled in Engineering & Technology is 71.4 per cent whereas female enrolment is 28.6 per cent. Eligibility Criteria for IIT Courses

To be eligible for admissions to B.Tech and Dual degree programmes at IITs, candidates should secure 75% marks in the qualifying examination. Admissions to the above undergraduate courses at IITs is based on two engineering entrance exams and a joint counselling process.
