A total of 1,200 offers were made and 1,150 students were placed during the Phase 1 of IIT Delhi placements 2025. Further, more than 50 international offers were made during IIT Delhi Phase 1 placements 2024-25.

As per the QS World University Rankings, IIT Delhi is the third best institute in India and 174th globally. In the NIRF rankings, it has been ranked at the second spot under the "Engineering" category. Candidates get good placement opportunities. The highest international and domestic package offered was INR 2 crore per annum and INR 1.25 crore per annum. In IIT Delhi placements, 50 students received package more than INR 1 crore per annum (domestic). Thus, it is great if a candidate gets admission at IIT Delhi.

At end of IIT Delhi Phase 1 placements 2024-25, a total of 1,200 offers were made and 1,150 students were placed. Yes, IIT Delhi campus is safe for girls and boys. The college campus is located in Hauz Khas. It has a good connection with roads and public transports. CCTV cameras are installed in the campus to keep a check on students safety. 

Students seeking admission to BDes course (Bachelor of Design) at IIT Delhi are required to sit for UCEED exam 2023. UCEED releases qualifying cutoff in the form of mean deviation and standard deviation. Appearing in UCEED 2023 or being on the admission rank list does not guarantee admission to IIT Delhi BDes courses.

Candidates who have passed UCEED 2023 must apply separately to the UCEED participating institute for BDes admission. Apart from passing the UCEED exam, the candidates are required to fulfil the eligibility criteria, category certificates and other documents, as well as the UCEED score, to be verified by IIT Delhi.

Candidates applying to a MSc course in IIT Delhi must fulfil the required eligibility criteria. Thus, aspirant must hold a valid bachelor's degree in a relevant stream for at least two years (four semesters) and a minimum aggregate between 55% and 80% or 5.5 CGPA out of 10.

For MSc cognitive science/economic courses, the accepted degrees are BA/BSc/BCom/BTech/BE/BStat/BMath or equivalent. The total course fee for MSc course is ranges between INR 30K and INR 3 lakh.

IIT Delhi average package is not released. However, as per some unofficial sources, the average package offered during IIT Delhi placements 2023 stood at INR 21.9 LPA.

The total course fee is a cumulative of multiple components such as tuition fee, medical fees, transport fees, etc. IIT Delhi PhD tuition fee for full-time course is INR 7,500 per semester. In addition, PhD (part-time/sponsored) programmes is INR 17,500. The hostel fee for PhD candidates is INR 13,250. Some other fee such as students distress fund scheme (each semester) of INR 400 and insurance scheme (yearly) fee of INR 500 may also be added in the fee. IIT Delhi have a policy of not disclosing higher salary packages offered during placement drives. However, according to a press release released earlier, more than 50 students were offered salary package above INR 1 Crore per Annum during placements 2023.

IIT Delhi OBC cutoff 2025 for JEE Advanced is yet to be released. However, during the last round cutoff in 2024, the JEE Advanced closing ranks for BTech admission varied between 89 and 3185 in the All India quota. In the first round, the cutoff ranks were more competitive for admission compared to the final round. Therefore, based on last year's cutoff ranks, a JEE Advanced rank of 7000 does not allow for admission at IIT Delhi for any BTech or Integrated BTech courses for students belonging to the OBC AI category.

IIT Delhi is one of the prestigious IITs of India offering BTech course. For getting into IIT Delhi, candidates are required to pass JEE Main, followed by JEE Advanced and JoSAA Counselling. All the students applying for admission to BTech at IITs will not get IIT Delhi. Some of the reasons can be low cutoff score and availability of seats. In such case, aspirants must look at other recognised IITs. Below are some of the IITs that candidates can seek for admission:

IIT Delhi offers a four-year full-time BTech course across multiple specialisations. During the IIT Delhi JEE Advanced cutoff 2025, the closing rank for the B.Tech in CSE course was 45 for the SC All India category students. Thus, a candidate securing a rank of up to 45 or below is only eligible for admission to the BTech in CSE course at IIT Delhi. 

The cut off rank in Round 6 for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering is 118 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category, one can not afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing from round to round, better ranks definitely increases your chances of getting admission in IIT Delhi - Indian Institute of Technology.

Yes, IIT Delhi accepts GATE/CEED/UGC/CSIR/DBT/ICMR entrance exam scores for admission to different specialisations offered under the IIT Delhi PhD programme. Candidates shortlisted based on the exam score can be called for an interview round by some of the departments. The accepted exam can vary depending upon the chosen PhD specialisation.
