
Indian Talent Olympiad Maths Syllabus 2025-26: ITO has released the ITO Mathematics syllabus 2026 for the candidates. The syllabus released by the board mainly cover the mathematical concepts in each class. The exam aims to develop problem-solving skills in students and boost their confidence in mathematics. Indian Talent Olympiad Maths (IMO) Syllabus 2025-26
The IMO syllabus 2025-26 is divided into the following three sections:
- First section: Subjective questions
- Second section: High Order Thinking Section (HOT section)
- Third section: Logical reasoning
All questions are of one mark each. Students have to refer to their specific board syllabus for the preparation of ISO 2026 exam. They must also refer to the Olympiad books provided by Indian Talent Olympiad along with the previous year’s question papers
Students from classes 1 to 4 are asked 35 questions within the time limit of 65 minutes. Whereas, those from class 5 to class 10 are asked 50 questions within the same time limit. The logical reasoning segment includes the following- patterns, grouping of figures, ranking test, measuring units, geometric shapes, the odd one out, analogy, special understanding, embedded figures, blood relations, direction sense test, mirror image, water image, paper folding, paper cutting, figure matrix, mathematical operations, cubes and dice, Venn Diagrams, analytical reasoning, figure formation, puzzles, and ranking.

The students can choose one or more subjects as per their interest. However, they must note that each ITO paper has a different pattern.
Students from class 1 to 10 studying in any recognised school in India can participate. Both government and private school students can apply for it. They can register for the ITO test individually or through their schools.
The Olympiad exams consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each paper has a different number of questions depending on the subject and class. The exam tests conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills. Time is usually limited to 45 minutes to 1 hour. The exam is available in both online and offline modes.
