The application fee for AIFD WAT is INR 1000. The application fee has to be paid online at the time of filling out the application form. Note that the onine application form for the current session is now open. As part of the application filling process, the candidate will have to fill in personal, academic, and contact details, and upload documents. Finally, the fee has to be paid to complete the process.

For admissions to four-year UG Fashion and Apparel Design programme, candidates should have passed Class XII with at least 35% aggregate marks from a recognised board. Candidates who pass Class XII through open school or distance education system are not eligible for AIFD admissions. It is to be noted that only children of Army personnel or ex- Army personnel can register for AIFD exam. Only such candidates who meet the prescrived criteria must apply. If the candidate doesn't meet the criteria, his or her applications may be cancelled.

Q: How many seats are available for BSc (FAD) and BSc (IDD) programs through AIFD WAT?

For the current session, a total of 60 seats have been earmarked each for the BSc (FAD) and the BSc IDD program. The candidate will be able to select their programme of study at the time of filling the application form. Note that the allotment of seats will be as per the merit rank of the candidate in AIFD WAT 2025. Such candidates who are alloted seats will have to pay the seat-acceptance fee to confirm their seats.

Q: Can I pay the AIFD WAT seat acceptance fee offline?

The AIFD WAT seat acceptance fee, which includes institute fee (Rs. 10,000) and hostel fee (Rs. 5,000) has to be paid online through RTGS/NEFT. In case the candidate fails to make the payment, his or her seat allotment will be cancelled. Candidates will be allocated seats as per their merit ranks. In case the candidate fails to meet the cut-off, he or she will be considered for admission in subsequent rounds (if available).
